JOB DESCRIPTION: LOCAL PURCHASER (CONSTRUCTION)

• *Job Summary**

We are seeking a proactive and reliable **Local Purchaser** to join our team in Lucknow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing local construction materials, tools, hardware, and site consumables. You will work closely with site engineers and local vendors to ensure materials are delivered on time while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• **Material Sourcing \& Procurement:**
• Source construction materials locally (e.g., cement, sand, aggregate, hardware, electrical/plumbing items, tools, safety gear, fuel, etc.).
• Receive and verify site material requisitions from Site Engineers/Project Managers.
• **Vendor Management \& Negotiation:**
• Coordinate with local vendors, traders, and suppliers in Awadh/Lucknow.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines to secure the best rates without compromising quality.
• **Site Delivery \& Coordination:**
• Ensure prompt delivery of purchased goods directly to the project site.
• Inspect incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with project specifications upon delivery.
• **Documentation \& Record Keeping:**
• Maintain proper records of Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, bills, delivery challans, and local cash vouchers.
• Submit weekly/monthly purchase statements and cash receipts to the Accounts Department for timely reimbursement/clearance.

• *Key Requirements \& Qualifications**

• **Education:** Minimum Higher Secondary (12th Pass) or Graduate in any stream (Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or Civil Engineering is a plus).
• **Experience:** 1 to 2 years of local procurement experience in **Construction, Infrastructure, or Real Estate** projects.
• **Local Market Knowledge:** Strong understanding of local hardware, building material markets, and supplier networks in and around Lucknow/Awadh.
• **Travel:** Must possess a personal two\-wheeler (Bike/Scooter) and a valid Driving License for local market visits and site coordination.
• **Key Skills:**
• Basic negotiation and communication skills (Hindi \& English).
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel / Word / Email / WhatsApp for coordination).
