Aon is looking for an experienced Manager to lead our Enterprise Architecture team in India. This role places you at the center of where impactful Enterprise Architecture is shaped — responsible not only for delivering enterprise\-grade architecture outcomes at scale, but for building and inspiring the team that makes it happen.

You will be accountable for all of the Enterprise Architect responsibilities while also leading, growing, and inspiring the team. This is a leadership position that demands you remain hands\-on and technically credible — an opinionated architect who sets and defends a high bar — while building an inclusive, innovative team culture aligned with Aon’s product development transformation.

Key Responsibilities **Enterprise Architecture (all responsibilities from the Enterprise Architect role, plus leadership)***All responsibilities defined in the Enterprise Architect role apply — architecture leadership, pattern development and evangelism, AI adoption, enablement of application teams, governance, and cross\-team collaboration. As manager, you are also responsible for ensuring the team collectively delivers on these outcomes at enterprise scale.***People Leadership*** Lead, manage, and develop a team of Enterprise Architects in India — providing coaching, mentoring, career guidance, and performance management.

  • Foster a psychologically safe, high\-performance team culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear goals and expectations aligned with Aon’s enterprise architecture strategy; track and report on team progress.
  • Identify and address skills gaps within the team; create and execute on individual development plans.
  • Serve as a role model for technical excellence, intellectual curiosity, and the use of AI\-augmented ways of working.
  • *Recruiting \& Team Building*** Own the end\-to\-end hiring pipeline for the India EA team — from defining role requirements and sourcing strategies through screening, technical assessment, interview loops, offer negotiation, and final decisions.
  • Design and continuously improve a structured, repeatable hiring pipeline that scales with the team’s growth ambitions and maintains a high bar for technical excellence.
  • Actively source and engage top architecture talent — through direct outreach, university partnerships, referrals, and engagement with India’s technology community.
  • Build a diverse and high\-caliber team with complementary skills that collectively cover Aon’s architectural domains — cloud\-native, enterprise integration, AI/ML, security, and platform engineering.
  • Partner with HR and talent acquisition to attract enterprise\-grade architecture talent in India’s competitive technology market.
  • Develop a structured onboarding approach that rapidly integrates new team members into Aon’s architecture community, standards, and ways of working.
  • Continuously assess team composition, skills coverage, and capacity needs — proactively planning ahead of business demand.
  • *Strategic \& Operational Leadership*** Represent the India EA team in global architecture forums and leadership discussions; advocate for the team’s capabilities and contributions.
  • Collaborate with peer architecture managers and global EA leadership to align strategy, share best practices, and coordinate cross\-regional programs.
  • Own team operational health — including headcount planning, budget inputs, tooling, and process improvements.

Drive the annual goal\-setting process for the team; ensure goals are ambitious, clearly defined, and tied to Aon’s strategic priorities.
