Job Description

• *JOB SUMMARY**

• Drive digital transformation and automation across Finance Operations including Policyholder Payouts, Vendor Payments, Employee Reimbursements, Fixed Assets and Opex Reporting.
• Reduce manual interventions, strengthen controls, improve productivity and mitigate payment risks through technology\-enabled solutions.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Procurement, HR and Operations teams to identify, design and implement automation initiatives.
• Build data\-driven reporting, dashboards and automated control frameworks to improve decision making and operational efficiency.
• Act as the bridge between Finance and Technology teams to enable scalable and sustainable process transformation.

• *KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

• *Finance Process Transformation**

• Evaluate existing finance operations processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Re\-engineer manual and spreadsheet\-driven activities into scalable automated workflows.
• Develop future\-state process architecture with clear productivity and control benefits.
• Prepare business cases and track benefits realization from automation initiatives.

• *Automation \& Digital Initiatives**

• Design and implement automation solutions using Power Automate, Power BI, SQL, VBA, Python, RPA and AI tools.
• Automate reconciliations, exception reporting, payment validations and approval workflows.
• Integrate finance systems, banking platforms and business applications to reduce manual touch points.
• Support implementation of emerging technologies including AI\-driven monitoring and analytics.

• *Data Analytics \& MIS**

• Develop management dashboards for payments, productivity, TAT, controls and operational metrics.
• Analyze large transaction datasets to identify anomalies, leakages, duplicate payments and process inefficiencies.
• Build automated reports and self\-service MIS for finance leadership and business stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and expense analytics through data visualization tools.

• *Risk, Controls \& Governance**

• Strengthen preventive and detective controls within payment processes.
• Develop automated monitoring mechanisms for high\-risk and high\-value transactions.
• Support Internal Audit, Statutory Audit and Risk reviews through data\-driven controls.
• Drive initiatives to minimize financial, operational and fraud risks.

• *Project Management \& Stakeholder Engagement**

• Manage end\-to\-end automation projects from requirement gathering to implementation and stabilization.
• Coordinate with IT, Digital, Procurement, HR and Operations teams for solution deployment.
• Conduct user training and change management activities to ensure adoption.
• Present transformation roadmap, project updates and outcomes to senior management.

• *Continuous Improvement**

• Build a pipeline of automation opportunities across Finance Operations.
• Benchmark industry best practices and recommend innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement culture through digitization and process excellence initiatives.

Finance, IT, Digital, Procurement, HR, Operations, Risk, Internal Audit, Compliance and Business Teams.

Technology Vendors, Automation Partners, Consultants, Banking Partners and Auditors.

• *Key Competencies / Skills Required**

• Strong Finance Operations and AP process understanding.
• Hands\-on automation mindset with demonstrated implementation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel, VBA, Power BI and SQL proficiency.
• Knowledge of Python, Power Automate, RPA or AI tools preferred.
• Project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Continuous improvement and innovation mindset.

• *Measures of Success**

• Automation of 5\-10 high\-volume finance processes within first 12\-18 months.
• Reduction of manual effort by at least 15\-25%.
• Reduction in payment exceptions, operational errors and control gaps.
• Improved SLA adherence and process turnaround times.
• Deployment of automated dashboards and exception monitoring tools.
• Positive audit outcomes with stronger control environment.
• Demonstrable productivity improvement and cost savings.
• High stakeholder satisfaction from Finance and Business teams.

• *Desired Qualification and Experience**

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance).
• BFSI / Insurance / Banking / NBFC experience preferred.
• 6\-10 years of experience in Finance Operations, Transformation, Process Excellence, Analytics or Automation roles.
• Proven experience in delivering automation or digital transformation projects.
• Exposure to Power BI, SQL, Power Automate, VBA and data analytics tools is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Python, AI tools, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or similar technologies will be an added advantage.
