About the Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven professional to lead Finance, Business Operations and Commercial Insights for our fast\-growing global consulting business.
This role goes far beyond traditional accounting. You will own financial controls, revenue assurance, business analytics, process automation and management reporting while partnering closely with Sales, Operations and the Founder to improve business performance.
You will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation, identifying revenue leakages, improving cash flow, driving operational efficiencies and providing data\-driven insights that influence strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities1\. Commercial Finance \& Business Performance
- Analyse monthly revenue trends across business units and geographies.
- Develop dashboards to monitor sales performance, profitability and business KPIs.
- Identify revenue leakages and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyse customer profitability, service\-line profitability and pricing.
- Work closely with Sales Leadership to improve revenue generation and collections.
- Assist management in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Present actionable business insights to senior management.
2\. Revenue Assurance \& Financial Controls
Own end\-to\-end revenue assurance including
- Invoice accuracy
- Revenue recognition
- Contract\-to\-billing process
- Credit notes
- Bad debt monitoring
- Debtor ageing
- Collection tracking
- Revenue reconciliations
- TDS mismatch analysis
- GST reconciliations
- Inter\-company reconciliations
Ensure no revenue leakage occurs across the organisation.
3\. Business Operations
- Improve finance and operational processes.
- Drive ERP optimisation across Zoho Books, QuickBooks and future systems.
- Build invoicing automations.
- Improve CRM\-to\-accounting integration.
- Develop SOPs for finance and operations.
- Eliminate manual work through automation and AI tools.
4\. Leadership \& Team Management
Lead and mentor the accounting function including
- Senior Accountant
- Accounts Executives
- External accountants where applicable
Review
- Books of accounts
- Monthly close
- Reconciliations
- Compliance
- Audit readiness
Ensure timely completion of all accounting activities.
5\. Statutory Compliance Oversight
Oversee compliance relating to
- GST
- TDS
- Advance Tax
- Income Tax support
- Annual Audit
- ROC compliance (with Company Secretary)
While execution may be delegated, accountability for accuracy and timeliness rests with this role.
6\. Business Analytics
Build dashboards covering
- Revenue
- Collections
- Gross Margin
- Net Margin
- DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Cash Flow
- Client Profitability
- Sales Conversion
- Customer Lifetime Value
- Employee Productivity
- Service Line Performance
Present weekly and monthly MIS reports to leadership.
7\. Strategic Business Partner
Partner with the Founder and department heads to
- Improve pricing strategies
- Support business expansion into new markets
- Evaluate new business opportunities
- Improve operational efficiency
- Optimise working capital
- Build scalable business processes
- Support strategic initiatives and special projects
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success in this role will be measured through
Financial
- Reduction in bad debts

- Reduction in manual finance processes

Required Skills \& ExperienceEssential
- 6–10 years of experience in Finance, FP\&A, Commercial Finance or Business Operations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Strong business acumen and commercial mindset.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar ERP systems.
- Experience creating MIS reports and business dashboards.
Preferred
- Experience in professional services, consulting, SaaS or technology companies.
- Knowledge of international accounting across UK, US or UAE entities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Zoho CRM, HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Exposure to automation tools, Power BI, Tableau or AI\-based workflow automation.
Education
One of the following is preferred
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- CMA
- MBA (Finance)
- B.Com / M.Com with significant commercial finance experience
