Manager - IT

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infra and InfoSec leader to join **IIT Madras Research Park** to manage design, implementation and maintenance \& support our expanding IT infrastructure and other support systems that includes networks, server, information security and application management. The ideal candidate should ensure the integrity of High\-Availability of overall IT infrastructure and to optimize performance for users and systems.

• *Experience**: 6\-8 years of proven experience in IT administration/infrastructure for network, servers, firewall, applications and Cloud platform.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

· **Design, Deploy and Roll\-Out** \- Core IT infrastructure areas like networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), Network/Information security, Servers, Applications and Cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure and Zoho)

· **Operations Management**

· Handle regular operational tasks for network, software, servers, firewall, routers, switches for wired and wireless architecture.

· Manage and support OS – Windows, Linux (Ubuntu and Centos) and Mac.

· Own, plan, implement and regular run of new projects/initiatives in the Infrastructure and Support sub\-function.

· Extend support for CCTV surveillance, Building Management Systems (BMS)

• *Compliance \& Standards**

· Implement IT security policies, antivirus/EDR systems, and assist with data backups and business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

· Identify areas of improvements within IT sub\-function for effectiveness and efficiency and provide recommendations to key stake holders proactively.

• *Vendor Management** \- Liaison with external suppliers, OEMs and for ongoing support, maintenance and procurement of relevant hardware, software, licenses.

• *Documentation \& Knowledge Base** \- Support and contribute implementation and documentation of IT Infrastructure policies, processes and standards and ensure incorporation of best practices with regards to hardware support, software support, network, server/desktop and security.

• *User Engagement** \- Effectively handle client interactions, providing technical support and clear communication to ensure satisfaction and build strong professional relationships.

• *People Management**

· Supervise, train, and mentor staff, handle Day2Day2 OPS schedules, and authorize leaves or time\-off requests.

· Strong proficiency in communication, conflict resolution, team leadership, operations management, and basic data analysis

• *Academics and Certifications:**

• *Education** \- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field along with industry familiar certifications – Cisco, Microsoft or Linux

• *Certifications** \-Preferred certification from Cisco, Microsoft, Linux. Any other global certifications are good to have.

• *Key Technical Skills:**

• *Core Network** – Routing, Switching, VLAN Routing, network segmentation and policy\-based routing,

• *Network Security** – Firewall configurations, policy management, content filtering application aware complexities.

• *Servers and OS Platforms** – Excellent hands\-on exp in Microsoft AD architecture/integrations, O365, SharePoint and collaboration tools. Ubuntu and CentOS Linux system mgmt. is an added advantage.

• *NMS** \- Proficiency with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools

**Additional Skills**

Familiarity with WAN, Active Directory and auto fail\-over technologies.

Knowledge of network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible, VBA etc.,)

Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and documentation practices,

Manage Office 365 environments, Intune device enrolments, and execute hardware/software procurement, deployment, and inventory tracking.

Expertise in installing, testing, troubleshooting, and managing Fiber optic cables including termination, splicing, and patch panel management for high\-speed network connectivity.

Pay: ₹1,200,000\.00 \- ₹2,400,000\.00 per year
