Job Description
- *Job Description – Operations ManagerDuties \& Responsibilities1\. Strategic Planning \& Management**
- Develop and implement a strategic planning framework for the provision of eye care services.
- Align operational goals with the hospital's mission to meet patient needs and priorities.
- Develop and communicate short\- and long\-term strategic goals for the department.
- Regularly review strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
- Prepare and present monthly financial and qualitative reports to senior management, highlighting cost savings and areas for improvement.
- *2\. Operational Management**
- Oversee the daily operations of the hospital, ensuring smooth functioning of both clinical and non\-clinical departments, including the OT floor during peak OT time.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiency, with a focus on patient care quality and resource utilization.
- Lead the implementation of operational improvements and cost\-reduction initiatives.
- Identify vulnerable patients and ensure priority consultation.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OPD and OT turnaround time (TAT), patient satisfaction, and staff productivity.
- Oversee patient billing, claims, and reimbursement processes.
- *3\. Team Leadership \& Staff Coordination**
- Coordinate with medical staff, patient care support staff, and administrative personnel to ensure effective collaboration.
- Ensure the hospital is adequately staffed at all times by managing staff scheduling and monitoring productivity.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of patient care support staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- *4\. Policy Development, Compliance \& Quality**
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Ensure patient confidentiality, data security, and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Conduct regular audits to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Participate in internal and external quality audits and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects.
- *5\. Inventory \& Resource Management**
- Monitor and manage medical equipment, supplies, and resources, ensuring availability and appropriate maintenance.
- Collaborate with biomedical engineers for preventive maintenance of medical equipment.
- Monitor and control resource utilization to ensure cost\-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
- *6\. Risk Management \& Emergency Response**
- Identify and mitigate operational risks through regular audits and implementation of corrective actions.
- Participate in emergency response planning (e.g., Code White) and ensure the hospital's preparedness for unexpected events or system breakdowns.
- *7\. Patient Experience \& Satisfaction**
- Ensure the highest standards of patient care and satisfaction through regular feedback collection and analysis.
- Handle patient complaints, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to address service gaps.
- Set targets for patient coordinators to actively collect and improve patient feedback, particularly online reviews.
- *8\. Business Development \& Marketing**
- Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to promote the hospital's services through digital marketing, social media, and promotional events.
- Support the development of marketing strategies aimed at increasing patient volume and hospital visibility.
- *9\. Staff Development \& Performance Management**
- Participate in performance appraisal committees, evaluating the annual performance of staff in the department.
- Develop training programs to enhance staff skills and maintain high\-quality service standards.
- *10\. Reporting \& Communication**
- Provide weekly operational reports to senior management detailing key performance metrics, operational challenges, and progress on strategic objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- *Required Qualifications \& Skills**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in an eye care or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, patient care standards, and operational best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation in a healthcare environment.
- Strong problem\-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.
Pay: ₹40,000\.00 \- ₹70,000\.00 per month
