  • *Team Profile:**

Alvarez \& Marsal’s Disputes and Investigations (DI) works with clients to advise on transaction advisory across Investment lifecycle, risk management, leakage prevention, anti\-bribery and corruption consulting, fraud investigations, anti\-fraud programs and controls, regulatory compliance, litigation support and bankruptcy matters. DI team provides expertise to manage and minimize securities litigation and regulatory compliance risks.

Data Analytics team within DI brings technological innovation to support technology led programs using cutting edge tools and techniques.

  • *Position Overview:**

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager / Senior Manager to join our Deal Analytics team within the Disputes and Investigations practice. In this role, you will lead end\-to\-end delivery of pre\-investment due diligence engagements, leveraging advanced analytics and AI\-driven techniques.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep analytical expertise, and a proven track record of leading data\-driven due diligence across sectors including Consumer, Financial Services, FinTech, Retail, and Healthcare. You will work with large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights, design scalable analytical frameworks, and develop reusable tools and assets.

You will be responsible for ensuring high\-quality deliverables, driving technical excellence, and developing tailored, data\-driven solutions aligned to client needs. Additionally, you will lead and mentor teams, manage client relationships, and actively contribute to practice development and capability building.

  • *Job Roles \& Responsibilities:**
  • *Engagement Leadership \& Deal Execution:**
  • Lead end\-to\-end delivery of data\-driven pre\-investment due diligence engagements, from hypothesis framing and data acquisition to insight generation and reporting.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to private equity clients and deal teams, providing actionable insights on revenue quality, margin sustainability, customer dynamics, and operational risks.
  • Manage engagement scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring high\-quality and timely delivery in fast\-paced transaction environments.
  • Translate analytical outputs into investment\-relevant insights and clear deal narratives to support decision\-making.
  • *Deal Analytics \& Technical Delivery:**
  • Design and execute advanced analytics frameworks to assess key diligence areas such as revenue leakage, pricing anomalies, customer concentration, channel risks, and working capital dynamics.
  • Work with large, complex, and multi\-source datasets (ERP, CRM, transactional systems) to derive meaningful insights under tight timelines.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Power BI for data extraction, analysis, and visualization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for analytics and executive storytelling.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and analytical techniques.
  • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL and Python, ensuring robustness, scalability, and auditability of outputs.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) tailored for investor and management discussions.
  • Apply AI/ML and GenAI techniques to enhance diligence processes, including anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and automated insight generation.
  • Build and scale reusable analytics assets, accelerators, and diligence playbooks to improve consistency and efficiency across deals.
  • *Team Leadership \& Quality Assurance:**
  • Lead and mentor cross\-functional teams of analysts and consultants, providing direction on problem structuring, analytics approach, and storytelling.
  • Drive quality control through structured review mechanisms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and relevance of outputs.
  • Foster a high\-performance, collaborative environment with a focus on innovation and continuous learning.
  • *Practice Development \& Commercial Support:**
  • Contribute to the development of deal analytics capabilities, offerings, and go\-to\-market strategies.
  • Support proposals, client pitches, and solution design, bringing differentiated analytics\-led perspectives to transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand scope within engagements and drive additional value for clients.
  • Build reusable IP, tools, and sector\-specific analytics solutions to strengthen the practice.
  • *Client \& Stakeholder Management:**
  • Build strong relationships with private equity clients, deal teams, and portfolio company management.
  • Collaborate with commercial, financial, and operational diligence teams to deliver integrated insights.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, concise, and commercially relevant manner to senior stakeholders.
  • *Qualifications \& Experience:**
  • 6–10\+ years of experience in data analytics, deal analytics, transaction advisory, or consulting roles.
  • Proven experience in pre\-investment due diligence or transaction\-related analytics engagements.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and Power BI for data extraction, analysis, and visualization.
  • Experience in consulting environments (Big4 or similar) preferred.
