As an **Analyst – Marketplace Promotions Strategy \& Ops**, you will be responsible for driving insights, reporting, and performance measurement across Target Plus promotional programs. This role sits at the intersection of business analytics, operations, and strategy, enabling data\-driven decision\-making to improve promotional effectiveness, partner participation, and overall marketplace performance.
You will transform complex datasets into actionable insights, establish robust reporting frameworks, and influence strategic decisions through deep analysis of promotional performance and trends.
- *Insights \& Performance Analytics (Core Focus)**
- Develop and own end\-to\-end reporting frameworks to measure performance of promotional campaigns across key metrics (GMV, lift, conversion, traffic, SKU coverage).
- Generate actionable insights on promotion effectiveness, discount depth, partner participation, and category\-level performance \& competitor insights.
- Perform deep\-dive analyses to identify drivers of performance, uncover trends, and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Build dashboards and automated reporting solutions using tools like DOMO, or Excel to enable self\-serve analytics for stakeholders.
- Establish standardized KPIs and metrics definitions to ensure consistency in performance tracking.
- *Business Reporting \& Governance**
- Design and maintain weekly/monthly business reviews (WBR/MBR) and executive reporting decks.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across all promotional reporting.
- Partner with cross\-functional teams to align on measurement frameworks and success criteria.
- Monitor and report on adoption, compliance, and operational KPIs for promotional programs.
- *Strategic Decision Support**
- Translate data into clear narratives and recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Support promotion strategy planning by providing insights on historical performance, seasonality, and competitive benchmarks.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in current promotional strategies and influence roadmap priorities.
- Conduct A/B test analysis and experiment measurement to evaluate new promotional constructs.
- *Campaign Performance Evaluation**
- Lead pre\- and post\-campaign analysis, including forecasting, performance tracking.
- Measure incrementality and true impact of promotions versus baseline performance.
- Provide recommendations to optimize discount structures, timing, and assortment selection.
- *Process \& Reporting Automation**
- Streamline and automate manual reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Create and maintain documentation (SOPs) for reporting processes and data workflows.
- Continuously improve reporting infrastructure by collaborating with data, product, and tech teams.
