Modern Age Coders (MAC) is a live online coding and mathematics education platform serving learners from Grade 1 through adulthood across 15\+ countries. Based in Kolkata, we deliver group and one\-on\-one sessions with a clear philosophy — fundamentals before shortcuts, depth over breadth, genuine understanding over rote learning.
We are growing our Mathematics faculty and are looking for an exceptional educator who can handle the full spectrum — from helping a 6\-year\-old fall in love with numbers, to preparing a high schooler for IOQM, RMO, and beyond.
ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Mathematics Instructor at MAC, you will teach live online classes across a wide range of levels and learning objectives. You must be equally comfortable drawing out curiosity in a Grade 1 child as you are introducing number theory to an Olympiad aspirant. You will design learning paths, create engaging content, and be a mentor students genuinely look forward to every session.
WHAT YOU WILL TEACHFoundation \& School Mathematics (Grade 1–10\)
- Basic arithmetic, number sense, and mental maths — Grades 1 to 4
- Fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, and proportions — Grades 4 to 6
- Algebra, geometry, mensuration, and coordinate geometry — Grades 6 to 9
- **ICSE / CBSE / IGCSE Board Preparation — Grades 9 and 10**
- Real Numbers, Polynomials, Linear Equations, Triangles
- Circles, Statistics, Probability, Trigonometry
- Full past\-paper practice and exam strategy
Advanced \& Competition Mathematics
- **IOQM** (Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics) — full syllabus
- **RMO / PRMO / INMO** preparation and proof writing
- **Number Theory** — divisibility, primes, modular arithmetic, Diophantine equations
- **Combinatorics** — counting, pigeonhole, inclusion\-exclusion, generating functions
- **Geometry** — Euclidean, circle theorems, trigonometric methods
- **Algebra** — inequalities (AM\-GM, Cauchy\-Schwarz), functional equations, polynomials
- **IMO**\-level problem solving
International Competition Prep
- US AMC 8 / AMC 10 / MATHCOUNTS
- UK Junior \& Senior Mathematical Challenge (UKMT)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging, well\-paced live online classes tailored to each student's level
- Build concept\-first lessons — ensure students understand the *why*, not just the *how*
- Design and assign practice problems, worksheets, and homework aligned to goals
- Track and communicate student progress to parents and the MAC team regularly
- Identify learning gaps early and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Prepare students thoroughly for board exams, school tests, and competitions
- Collaborate with the MAC curriculum team to develop reusable teaching resources
- Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a positive learning environment every session
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORMust\-Have
- **B.Sc. / B.Tech / M.Sc. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field**
- Demonstrated ability to teach both beginner\-level and advanced Olympiad mathematics
- Strong knowledge of ICSE and CBSE Grade 9–10 board syllabi
- Prior experience with Olympiad coaching (IOQM / RMO / PRMO preferred)
- Excellent verbal communication in English (Hindi / Bengali a plus)
- Comfortable with online teaching tools — Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards
Good to Have
- Experience teaching international students (US, UK, UAE, Singapore, Canada)
- Familiarity with AMC, UKMT, or other international competition formats
- Ability to create structured notes, worksheets, and question banks
- A genuine love for mathematics and contagious enthusiasm for the subject
