Job Title: Manager – EngineeringQualification \& Experience
- Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10–12 years of relevant industry experience.
- Hands\-on experience in package engineering for:
- Turbine \& Compressor Console Packages
- Heat Exchangers
- Pressure Vessels
- Gas Piping Systems
- Skid Packages
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards such as API, ASME, etc.
- Familiarity with process industry practices and compliance requirements.
- ISO knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency in engineering and drafting software:
- Autodesk Inventor
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of ERP and SAP systems.
Key Result Areas (KRA)1\. Package Design Engineering
- Review bought\-out (B.O.) item offers and indenting.
- Review engineering documents submitted to customers.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
2\. Project Engineering
- Prepare project\-specific Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Review EPC specifications and customer requirements.
- Review and approve post\-order documents such as:
- Datasheets
- Drawings
- Technical specifications
- Evaluate and approve mechanical and bought\-out items including:
- Pumps
- Motors
- Filters
- Safety Valves
- Control Valves
- Instrumentation
- Manual Valves
- TCVs
3\. System Engineering
* Perform sizing and selection of
- Pipelines
- Tanks
- Pumps
- Heaters
- Control Valves
- Safety Valves
- Prepare General Arrangement (GA) models and package drawings.
- Manage engineering documentation and submissions.
- Act as the primary technical interface with clients and EPC contractors.
Job Purpose
To provide engineering solutions that meet client requirements through optimized package design and proper selection of components while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
To support the Bid Management Team by providing competitive and technically aligned techno\-commercial proposals for package systems.
Principal ResponsibilitiesEngineering \& Project Execution
- Complete detailed engineering activities as per project milestones.
- Prepare and release project BOMs.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
- Support production and testing activities for control panels and package systems.
Design Management
- Plan, schedule, review, and approve engineering inputs and outputs.
- Obtain client approvals for engineering deliverables.
- Conduct technical meetings with clients for approval of:
- P\&IDs
- General Arrangement Drawings
- Datasheets
- Submission Schedules
Vendor \& Documentation Management
- Review and approve vendor engineering documents for bought\-out items.
- Release engineering BOMs in line with project schedules.
- Drive standardization initiatives across engineering activities.
Additional Position Specifications
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Attend client meetings for engineering reviews and approvals.
- Participate in internal engineering review meetings.
- Mentor and develop engineering team members.
- Create and maintain engineering databases for quick reference and standardization.
- Demonstrate strong problem\-solving skills and presence of mind.
- Adapt engineering schedules according to project and shipment revisions.
- Provide technical and engineering support to manufacturing and shop\-floor teams.
