About the Internship

This is a structured 6\-month MEP Design Engineering Internship designed for fresh graduates and entry\-level candidates from Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering backgrounds.

The internship provides an opportunity to develop technical knowledge, practical engineering skills, professional communication and exposure to real\-world engineering consultancy projects.

The programme consists of two stages

Stage 1: Initial 2 Months – Technical Training

The first two months will focus on structured technical training and skill development.

Training may include

• Fundamentals of MEP Engineering
• HVAC Systems and Design
• Electrical Design and Engineering
• Plumbing Design
• Firefighting Systems
• AutoCAD Drafting and Engineering Drawings
• Online Tutorials and Technical Learning
• Internal Technical Workshops
• Guided Training Sessions
• Learning Assignments and Practical Activities
• Technical Evaluations
• Site Exposure, wherever applicable

Interns must complete the assigned training modules, learning activities, practical assignments and evaluations.

Where additional training is required to achieve the expected learning outcomes, the training period may be extended until satisfactory completion.

Stage 2: Next 4 Months – Active Project Work

After successfully completing the training phase, interns will be assigned to active project\-related activities based on their progress and performance.

Project exposure may include

• Hospitals and healthcare facilities
• Residential buildings and villas
• Commercial buildings
• Showrooms
• Airports
• Infrastructure developments
• Other building services projects

Interns will gain practical exposure to engineering design, calculations, technical drawings, project coordination and execution support.

Key Responsibilities

The internship involves both technical engineering responsibilities and professional engagement activities.

1\. MEP Design and Engineering

• Assist in preparing MEP design drawings and documentation.
• Support HVAC layouts, electrical schematics and plumbing drawings.
• Assist with basic engineering calculations.
• Support technical documentation and project coordination.
• Assist in maintaining drawing quality and project timelines.
• Coordinate with office and site teams for project execution.
• Participate in client meetings and technical presentations when required.

2\. Student Engagement and Training Activities

• Assist in conducting technical training programmes for engineering students.
• Support internal and external learning activities.
• Participate in technical workshops, webinars and educational events.
• Conduct daily outreach to engineering students as part of the internship responsibilities, including during the initial training period and applicable training sessions.
• Communicate with students and educational institutions regarding training programmes and engineering\-related activities.

3\. Marketing, Outreach and Business Development

• Support marketing activities through LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.
• Assist in organising webinars, promotional activities and industry events.
• Conduct daily outreach to architects, students and institutions.
• Support business development and industry networking activities.
• Assist with professional engagement and company outreach initiatives.

4\. Reporting and Professional Responsibilities

• Provide regular work updates to the Project Coordinator and Director.
• Maintain professional communication with colleagues, students, architects, institutions, clients and other stakeholders.
• Complete assigned responsibilities within the specified timelines.
• Maintain professional conduct and follow company policies.

• *Please note:** This internship is not limited to technical drafting or design work. It also includes student engagement, outreach, marketing, training support and business development activities.

Eligibility and Qualifications

• *Educational Qualification**

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.

• *Technical Knowledge**

• *Software Requirement**

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.

Leave Policy

• Interns are eligible for up to 1 day of leave per month.
• Leave must be requested in advance wherever possible and requires approval.
• Leave approval depends on training schedules, project requirements, deadlines and other operational requirements.
• Unplanned leave or extended absence must be communicated to the company at the earliest possible opportunity.
• Leave exceeding the permitted 1 day per month may result in an extension of the internship duration.
• Any extension may be required to ensure completion of the prescribed training, assignments and project exposure.

Candidates are expected to plan their personal commitments accordingly and maintain regular attendance throughout the internship.

Internship Completion Certificate

An Internship Completion Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the six\-month internship programme and fulfillment of the applicable training, project, attendance, performance and company requirements.

Full\-Time Employment Opportunity

Candidates who successfully complete the six\-month internship and demonstrate good performance, technical capability, professional conduct and commitment may be considered for a full\-time position as:

• *Junior MEP Design Engineer – AWA Teknik Private Limited**

The current entry\-level salary for such positions starts from **₹7,000 per month**.

Full\-time employment is subject to company requirements and performance evaluation.

Please note that successful completion of the internship does not automatically guarantee full\-time employment.

Selection Process
