Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot the hospital's IT network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted network connectivity across hospital departments, including emergency, ICU, laboratories, radiology, pharmacy, billing, and administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network infrastructure.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network security systems.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain network connectivity for hospital systems, including HIS (Hospital Information System), LIS (Laboratory Information System), RIS/PACS (Radiology Information System), pharmacy, and billing systems.
• Support network connectivity for servers, workstations, printers, IP phones, CCTV, and other hospital devices.
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth utilization, and network availability.
• Configure VLANs, IP addressing, routing, switching, VPNs, and network access controls.
• Implement network security measures, including firewall policies, access restrictions, and secure remote access.
• Coordinate with IT teams, software vendors, and service providers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, asset inventories, and technical documentation.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, network redundancy, and business continuity.
• Ensure network availability for critical hospital operations and clinical departments.
• Follow hospital IT security policies and protect confidential patient information.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Hands\-on experience with routers, managed switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet, or equivalent networking technologies.
• Understanding of VPNs, network security, and access control.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, connectivity, and network performance issues.
• Good communication, documentation, and problem\-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification.
• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare IT environment.
• Knowledge of HIS, LIS, RIS/PACS, and other healthcare applications.
• Familiarity with healthcare data security and patient information confidentiality.
• Experience supporting 24/7 IT infrastructure.

• Ability to work under pressure in a hospital environment.
• Willingness to provide emergency technical support when required.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
