- *Role description** **Professional Summary**
Experienced Network Security Engineer with expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across Cisco IOS, Cisco IOS XE, Cisco Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Palo Alto Networks environments.
Skilled in vulnerability management, security compliance, risk assessment, firmware upgrades, patch management, and change management processes.
Hands\-on experience with NetMRI for network configuration analysis, compliance monitoring, device auditing, and vulnerability remediation tracking.
**Key Responsibilities**
Manage and remediate vulnerabilities across Cisco IOS, IOS XE, Nexus, ASR, ISR, and Palo Alto firewall platforms.
Review security advisories, CVEs, and PSIRT notifications; assess risks and drive remediation activities.
Perform firmware upgrades, patching, security hardening, and configuration compliance validation.
Utilize Infoblox NetMRI for network automation, configuration auditing, compliance monitoring, vulnerability tracking, and reporting.
Administer and troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching infrastructure and Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention.
Conduct configuration reviews, risk assessments, and compliance checks against security standards and best practices.
Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, and Network teams to resolve vulnerabilities within agreed SLAs.
Prepare vulnerability reports, remediation status updates, and technical documentation.
Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and continuous security improvements.
Follow ITIL change management processes, including impact analysis, implementation planning, validation, and documentation.
Flexible to support planned and emergency changes during non\-business hours, maintenance windows, and weekends to minimize business impact.
Provide support across global regions including UK, EMEA, and APAC, coordinating activities across multiple time zones.
Comfortable working in non\-business hrs on high\-priority network and security changes.
Experience with Infoblox NetMRI for network automation, device management, configuration backup, compliance monitoring, and vulnerability tracking.
Automated configuration compliance checks and policy enforcement across enterprise network devices.
Used NetMRI reporting capabilities to identify security gaps and monitor remediation progress.
