• *Idyaite Technology Solutions** is hiring for a client for a **Senior Backend Engineer / Backend Architect** role focused on building scalable AWS serverless APIs, AI\-powered feed systems, and high\-performance backend platforms.

• **Job Title:** Senior Backend Engineer / Backend Architect

• *About the Opportunity:**

The selected candidate will design, develop, and own the **Backend for Frontend (BFF)** layer that serves as the central REST API gateway between mobile applications and multiple backend systems. The role also involves building AI\-powered personalisation and content\-ranking systems using **cloud\-native and LLM\-based technologies**.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

• Architect and develop Backend for Frontend (BFF) services using **Node.js and AWS Lambda/API Gateway**
• Build and manage scalable REST APIs for mobile\-optimised applications
• Implement secure JWT authentication and JWKS\-based token validation
• Integrate and orchestrate multiple upstream APIs and backend services in parallel
• Design API aggregation and response normalisation layers
• Implement graceful degradation and partial\-response handling strategies
• Configure and optimise Redis caching using AWS ElastiCache
• Build AI\-powered feed systems, user interest graph scoring, and content ranking engines
• Integrate LLM services such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini for article summarisation and topic tagging
• Develop event\-driven systems using AWS SQS and EventBridge
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure across development, sandbox, and production environments
• Monitor performance using AWS CloudWatch dashboards and metrics

• *Required Skills \& Experience:**

• 8\+ years of experience in **Node.js backend development**
• Strong expertise in **REST API architecture** and **backend service development**
• Hands\-on experience with **AWS services** including **Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, ElastiCache (Redis), SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager**
• Experience building **API aggregation layers or Backend for Frontend (BFF) architectures**
• Strong understanding of **JWT authentication and Auth0/JWKS token validation**
• Expertise in **Redis caching strategies, TTL optimisation, and cache invalidation**
• Experience handling **parallel async processing and concurrent API integrations**
• Knowledge of graceful degradation and fault\-tolerant backend systems
• Familiarity with LLM integrations such as **OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini**
• Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like **Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK**
• Ability to create API documentation using **Swagger/OpenAPI** or similar tools

• *Nice to Have:**

• Experience with content delivery or publishing platform APIs
• Familiarity with recommendation engines or personalisation systems
• Experience with DynamoDB data modelling for high\-read workloads
• Exposure to podcast, weather, or content feed APIs
• Prior experience with AI\-driven content platforms
