About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Node.js Backend Developer to join our development team. This opportunity is ideal for freshers who have a good understanding of JavaScript, backend development, and databases and are eager to learn by working on real\-world projects.

You will work with experienced developers to build, maintain, and improve backend services, REST APIs, and database integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web applications.
• Work with databases such as MongoDB or MySQL to store, retrieve, and manage data.
• Implement basic authentication and authorization features.
• Write clean, readable, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Test APIs using tools such as Postman and troubleshoot bugs.
• Integrate third\-party APIs and external services.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs with React.js or other frontend applications.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control and code collaboration.
• Document APIs and backend functionality.
• Learn and follow coding standards, security practices, and development best practices.

Required Skills

• Basic to good understanding of JavaScript (ES6\+).
• Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js.
• Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.
• Basic knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL.
• Understanding of JSON, HTTP status codes, and client\-server communication.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Ability to identify and debug basic coding issues.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of React.js or frontend development.
• Understanding of JWT authentication.
• Familiarity with password hashing and API security.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• Basic knowledge of deployment platforms such as Render, Railway, AWS, or similar services.
• Experience building personal projects, academic projects, or open\-source contributions.

Eligibility

• Freshers and candidates with up to one year of relevant experience can apply.
• B.Tech, B.E., BCA, MCA, or other relevant educational backgrounds are welcome.
• Candidates with strong practical skills and personal projects are encouraged to apply.
• A degree in Computer Science or IT is preferred but practical knowledge and problem\-solving ability matter most.
