Job Description – Oracle DBA SME (10–12\+ Years Experience)
Position: Senior Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)Role Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Oracle DBA with 10–12\+ years of hands\-on experience in managing large\-scale Oracle database environments. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, high availability, disaster recovery, upgrades, migrations, and providing 24x7 support for mission\-critical production systems.
Key Responsibilities
. Administer and support Oracle Database environments (11g, 12c, 19c, and above).
. Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN backup/recovery solutions.
. Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and refresh activities.
. Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR, ASH, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and OEM.
. Design and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
. Manage Oracle database security, auditing, and compliance requirements.
. Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
. Monitor database performance, capacity planning, and storage management.
. Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell Scripting and other automation tools.
. Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams during project implementations.
. Participate in architecture reviews and recommend database best practices.
. Prepare and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
. Provide technical leadership and mentor junior DBAs.
