The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing high\-quality multilayer PCB layouts for complex electronic products while ensuring compliance with signal integrity, manufacturability, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop multilayer PCB layouts (4 to 20\+ layers) using **Cadence Allegro PCB Designer**.
- Perform optimized component placement and routing for analog, digital, mixed\-signal, RF, and power circuits.
- Work closely with Hardware Design Engineers to convert schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts.
- Implement high\-speed design practices including impedance\-controlled routing, differential pair routing, and length matching.
- Design PCB stack\-ups in coordination with fabrication vendors.
- Create and maintain PCB libraries, symbols, footprints, and pad stacks.
- Generate manufacturing deliverables including Gerber files, ODB\+\+, IPC\-2581, drill files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, pick\-and\-place files, and BOMs.
- Perform Design Rule Check (DRC), Electrical Rule Check (ERC), and layout verification.
- Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Testability) principles.
- Support prototype builds, engineering change orders (ECOs), and production releases.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Procurement teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Resolve PCB fabrication and assembly issues with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards and internal PCB design guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in **Cadence Allegro PCB Designer**.
- Experience in multilayer PCB layout design.
- Knowledge of high\-speed PCB design techniques.
- Understanding of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), EMI/EMC, and controlled impedance routing.
- Experience with PCB stack\-up planning and HDI design.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with Gerber, ODB\+\+, IPC\-2581, and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong understanding of DRC, DFM, DFA, and DFT.
- Experience with component library and footprint creation.
- Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
