Role Overview

We are looking for a PHP Developer to build, maintain, and improve web applications. The successful candidate will work with the PHP team to develop reliable features, integrate services, fix issues, and support the performance and security of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP.
• Write clean, reusable, and well\-documented code.
• Build and integrate APIs and third\-party services.
• Work with databases such as MySQL or MariaDB.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and performance issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow team coding standards.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA, and other teams.
• Test changes and support releases.
• Maintain existing applications and implement approved enhancements.
• Share progress, risks, and blockers with the team lead.

Required Skills

• Practical experience with PHP and object\-oriented programming.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with MySQL or a similar relational database.
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
• Knowledge of web security, debugging, and performance basics.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or another PHP framework.
• Familiarity with Composer and package management.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Knowledge of Linux, deployment processes, or cloud hosting.
• Experience with frontend frameworks or tools used by the team.

Performance Expectations

• Deliver assigned work according to agreed priorities and timelines.
• Follow coding, testing, documentation, and security standards.
• Communicate progress and raise blockers early.
• Contribute to code quality and ongoing improvements to team processes.
