The Placement Manager will be responsible for driving student placements, internships, and industry collaborations. The role involves building relationships with corporate partners, organizing campus recruitment activities, supporting students in career readiness, and enhancing placement outcomes across design disciplines.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with recruiters, design studios, technology companies, startups, and industry partners.
- Identify internship and placement opportunities for students.
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives, placement events, career fairs, and networking sessions.
- Work closely with academic departments to align student skills with industry requirements.
- Conduct employability training programs, including resume building, portfolio reviews, interview preparation, and soft skills development.
- Track placement statistics and prepare placement reports.
- Facilitate industry projects, guest lectures, and mentorship programs.
- Manage employer databases and maintain regular communication with recruiters.
- Support students in career planning and job search strategies.
- *Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in placements, career services, recruitment, talent acquisition, or corporate relations.
- Strong corporate networking and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in higher education institutions, design schools, or universities preferred.
- Knowledge of campus recruitment processes.
- Industry outreach and partnership development.
- Event management and stakeholder coordination.
- Data reporting and placement analytics.
- Student counseling and career guidance.
