Plant Head: Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head to lead our Heavy Fabrication manufacturing unit.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Plant Operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR and SCM.

The Plant Head will drive business growth, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The Plant Head must have a strong knowledge in Heavy Fabrication and Sheet metal working, who has grown from the ranks and is able to help the organization in its transformational journey.

  • *Responsibilities:**

1\) Operations Management

\> Regular review of the operational and production metrics

\>Production Metrics (OEE Utilization) Plan Vs actual

\>Customer wise delivery performance

\> Quality Metrics – Cost of Poor quality, NCR

\> Manpower Plan vs actual.

\> Identify the cost saving opportunities for function and motivate and drive the team to achieve the cost targets on monthly basis.

\>Track the Plant inventory and costs to take appropriate decisions to optimize the same.

\>Enhance customer satisfaction level through process improvement and strict implementation of QMS.

\>Implement value engineering projects to reduce cost without impacting quality and functionality.

\>Drive identified automation projects on a time bound basis and ensure the specific results as planned is achieved on a sustainable manner.

\>Support the Corporate Quality initiatives to improve the systems and best practices at the plant level.

\>Implement best manufacturing practices such as lean / TPM / TQM etc to achieve the overall plant efficiency and effectiveness.

\>Must seek to solve technical, managerial, and other issues that PH have

\>Ensure seamless and escalation free NPI / Project implementation

2\) Customers \& Suppliers

\>Ensure customer visits, quality audits, initiatives are responded to and facilitated with the help of the Quality team to the satisfaction of the customer.

\> Plant performance in terms of Quality and Delivery with strong GAP analysis

\> Support required to the Business Development and NPD to achieve higher customer satisfaction

\> Customer score card review with the stake holders and identify opportunity for improvements.

\> Support Purchase in creating a strong supplier base and review supplier performance to take strategic decisions like outsource / insource etc

3\) People / HR Process

\>Review along with CHRO the current organization structure to seamlessly execute the current and future business, identify the weak organization links and plan to source resources externally or internally.

\>Extremely robust review of PMS process; closely monitor the Goals review of Operations team and ensure individual and team goals.

\>Closely work with the HR \& IR in implementing various HR/IR initiatives and resolving IR issues

\>Create an effective team culture and be the mentor and coach to future leadership support for various opportunity in company visions aspects

\>Training need identification from Supervisor to Section heads

4\) Financial / Cost metrics

\>Achieve cost matrix as per Budget and monitor on regular basis the trend and take corrective actions to achieve the same on monthly basis

\> Drive the cost saving initiatives of the functions and track the target Vs achieved

\>Monitor Cost of inventory / Non\-moving / Slow materials / WIP to support cash flow

5\) Safety and Environment

\>Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with environmental regulations.

\>Drive capability of 5’s drive across plant to ensure smooth and lean operations

6\) Soft Skills and Competencies

\>Ability to express technical and non\-technical concepts clearly and concisely.

\>The skill to convince and motivate others positively through effective communication and negotiation.

\>The capacity to recognize, understand, and manage one’s emotions and those of others for better social interactions.

\>Assessing situations from a holistic perspective, making informed decisions, and planning for the future.

\>Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers by understanding their needs, providing exceptional service, and fostering loyalty

\>Knowledge in establishing Digitization of manufacturing Process, flow and control

Qualifications

\>Experience: Minimum 18\+ years of experience in a similar role in the Heavy fabrications and Sheet metal and Painting process.

\>Experience in handling Exports is desired.

  • *Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.

Pay: ₹2,000,000\.00 \- ₹2,500,000\.00 per year
