About Us

We are a growing sheet metal manufacturing company specializing in precision sheet metal components and assemblies for the electrical, engineering, industrial, and OEM sectors. We are looking for an experienced Press Shop In\-Charge to establish and lead our press shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage day\-to\-day press shop operations.
• Set, align, and trial blanking, piercing, bending, compound, and progressive dies.
• Operate and supervise mechanical power presses and hand presses.
• Study engineering drawings and determine the manufacturing sequence.
• Plan production schedules to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Ensure first\-piece approval before production starts.
• Monitor product quality and reduce rejection and rework.
• Coordinate with external tool rooms for new die development and die modifications.
• Train machine operators and helpers in machine operation, die setting, quality, and safety.
• Ensure proper maintenance, lubrication, and upkeep of machines and tooling.
• Maintain production records, tool history, and machine maintenance logs.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures throughout the press shop.

Required Technical Skills

• 10–15 years of experience in sheet metal press shop operations.
• Hands\-on expertise in mechanical power presses.
• Strong knowledge of blanking, piercing, bending, embossing, forming, and deep drawing operations.
• Experience in die setting, die maintenance, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of CRCA, GI, Stainless Steel, Brass, and Aluminium sheet processing.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and root cause analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITI (Fitter/Tool \& Die Maker/Turner) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with OEM or automotive sheet metal manufacturers is an advantage.

• Build and lead the press shop team.
• Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Improve productivity and reduce setup time.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.
• Mentor junior operators and helpers.

Salary

Competitive and negotiable based on experience and capability.

Performance Goals (First 90 Days)

• Commission existing press machines.
• Successfully manufacture the first customer\-approved components.
• Train production staff.
• Develop SOPs for production, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate with die makers to establish a reliable tooling process.
• Set up an efficient and organized press shop.

Pay: ₹12,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
