About The Position: Principal Embedded Software Engineer

Statcon Electronics India Limited is seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Principal Embedded Software Engineer to work with our Research \& Innovation division. This is a high\-impact, Senior\-level role focused not only on designing and developing advanced embedded systems for power electronics products but also on driving end\-to\-end product deployment from concept to commercialization.

The ideal candidate will possess 5\+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development, preferably from a top\-tier institute and candidate should also have strong experience working in startup or high\-growth environments where ownership, agility, cross\-functional collaboration, and hands\-on execution are critical. We are looking for a leader who has managed multiple responsibilities simultaneously, successfully taken products from ideation to field deployment, and can build scalable, market\-ready solutions.

Note: This is a hands\-on engineering Senior position role — we expect the leader to actively contribute to technical development, prototype validation, product testing, deployment and effectively manage teams.

Key Responsibilities

 Lead the end\-to\-end development lifecycle of embedded software and hardware systems for power electronic converters, inverters, and control systems — from research, prototyping, validation, to deployment.

 Drive product innovation initiatives within the Research \& Innovation division, transforming ideas into commercially viable and deployable products.

 Collaborate closely with hardware, power electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, and business teams to ensure smooth transition from R\&D to production and deployment.

 Architect, design, and optimize embedded software for microcontrollers and DSPs (STM32, Texas Instruments, PIC, etc.) with scalability and field performance in mind.

 Design and implement real\-time embedded systems using C/C\+\+, RTOS, and bare\-metal programming.

 Take ownership of firmware releases, testing, debugging, field issue resolution, and post\-deployment optimization.

 Develop and validate communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Modbus, and implement advanced diagnostics for real\-world industrial environments.

 Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and system\-level design reviews to ensure product reliability and time\-to\-market efficiency.

 Lead and mentor a growing embedded team while fostering a startup mindset — encouraging ownership, accountability, agility, and innovation.

 Integrate embedded solutions with cloud\-based IoT platforms (AWS, Azure, MQTT) for remote monitoring, analytics, and predictive maintenance.

 Ensure compliance with product certification standards (CE, IEC, etc.), and actively participate in validation, certification, and customer acceptance processes.

 Manage documentation, version control, configuration management, and structured release cycles using tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.

 Stay abreast of global trends in embedded systems, automation, and power electronics to continuously

strengthen the company’s R\&D capabilities and competitive edge.

Qualifications \& Skills

 B Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Computer Science or a related field from a Top

Tier Institute.

 Minimum 5–8 years of experience in embedded firmware development, preferably of power electronics

 Mandatory experience working in a startup, high\-growth company, or innovation\-driven environment where the candidate handled multi\-functional responsibilities and product deployments.

 Proven track record of taking products from concept, prototyping, testing, and validation to successful market deployment.

 Strong command of Embedded C/C\+\+, RTOS, and microcontroller\-based development.

 Deep knowledge of power electronics systems, including converters, inverters, and motor control.

 Hands\-on experience with STM32CubeIDE, Keil, Code Composer Studio, or similar development tools.

 Exposure to cloud connectivity, IoT protocols (MQTT, REST), and device telemetry systems.

 Experience with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile or fast iteration product development cycles.

 Strong leadership, decision\-making, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive execution under tight timelines.

 Certifications in Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, IoT, or Product Development are a plus.
