Principal Site Reliability Engineer

• *What you’ll achieve**

The Principal Engineer, Service Delivery will be responsible for providing the primary management, administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of customer Infrastructure Platforms within a 24x7x365 environment and data center environment. This role must be able to understand, execute, and document moderate to complex operational tasks and work requests that are assigned and have experience in moderate to complex research and fact finding using various tools and informational sources.

The role will be expected to work in a positive and collaborative fashion with fellow team members, senior engineering/architect staff, vendors, and customers. The Infra Delivery Specialist will assist with process maturation, development, technical standards creation, and drive operational excellence through consistent delivery and best practices. This role will also include the core fundamentals of day\-to\-day operations, based off the ITIL v3 methodology.

• *You will:**

• As part of managed services organization, you will ensure that the customer’s infra is up and running 24\*7\*365
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
• Repair and recover infra from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
• Perform preventative maintenance (and upgrade, as required) on devices, and related peripherals to meet IT specifications
• Identify system performance issues and drives the development of tools to correct
• Follow all the organizational policies and processes around 24\*7 operations, including working in rotational shifts, work from office, training, upskilling, ITSM Processes, etc.
• Actively participate in leveraging Automation and AI to improve operations
• Mentor junior resources and contribute to learning and development

• *Essential Requirements**

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree, preferable engineering in Comp. Sc./ IT
• 8 – 12 years of work experience in IT industry, preferably managed services
• Hands on Experience and Expertise in Nutanix hybrid multi cloud computing, strong understanding of Converged/ Hyperconverged infra in terms of configuration and life cycle management
• Experience and expertise in Nutanix AHV, VMware vShpere, RedHat OpenShift and good command on Server, Storage, Networking and Data Protection technologies
• Flexibility to work in 24\*7 shifts, including night shift

• *Desirable Requirements**

• Experience and expertise in leveraging Automation to improve operations
• Hands on expertise in programming languages like Python/Go and tools like Ansible, GitBhub
