Job Description
- *Key Responsibilities**
- + Perform end\-to\-end accounting activities for Private Equity funds.
+ Prepare and review journal entries, general ledger, trial balances, NAV calculations, and financial statements.
+ Process capital calls, distributions, equalizations, investor transfers, subscriptions, redemptions (where applicable), and investor allocations.
+ Maintain accurate fund, investment, and investor records in the fund accounting system.
+ Perform cash, bank, and investment reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks.
+ Prepare and review portfolio valuations, investment schedules, and supporting workpapers.
+ Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for funds and investors.
+ Prepare investor capital account statements and other investor reporting packages.
+ Assist with management fee calculations, carried interest allocations, and distribution waterfall calculations.
+ Coordinate with investment teams, administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and client stakeholders to ensure timely deliverables.
+ Support audit and compliance requirements by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit queries.
+ Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and client\-specific procedures.
+ Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
+ Deliver high\-quality fund accounting deliverables within agreed service levels (SLAs).
- *Required Skills \& Qualifications**
- + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
+ 2–5 years of experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, or Alternative Investment Operations.
+ Strong understanding of Private Equity fund structures, partnership accounting, capital activities, investor accounting, and NAV preparation.
+ Experience with fund accounting platforms (e.g., Investran, eFront, Allvue, Yardi, Geneva, or similar)
+ Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting standards.
+ Strong understanding of capital calls, distributions, investment accounting, portfolio valuations, management fees, and carried interest.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, formulas, and data analysis).
+ Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem\-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
+ Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and work effectively in a deadline\-driven environment.
+ High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
