What You'll Do
As a Lead Analyst in BCG X Product Delivery, you will support the delivery of projects and digital solutions for clients across the oil \& gas, refining, chemicals, and broader energy value chain. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, operations, and technology, helping clients translate complex operational challenges into practical, high\-impact solutions.
You will help structure client problems, identify value pools, define improvement opportunities, and support the design of use cases across areas such as refining performance, planning and scheduling, margin optimization, emissions reduction, turnaround management, maintenance, reliability, and operational excellence.
You will work closely with BCG case teams, BCG X product and technical teams, and client stakeholders to ensure that Ekons solutions are grounded in real business needs. You will support client interviews, workshops, diagnostics, value sizing, business case development, roadmap definition, and change management activities.
You will also help translate strategic and operational priorities into clear solution requirements, ensuring that digital tools are not developed in isolation but are directly linked to measurable business outcomes. Over time, you will contribute to building reusable assets, industry perspectives, commercial materials, and delivery playbooks for Ekons.
Structuring complex and ambiguous oil \& gas business problems into clear hypotheses, value opportunities, workplans, and executive\-ready recommendations.
Leading client\-facing problem solving across oil \& gas, refining, chemicals, energy, and asset\-intensive operations topics.
Engaging senior client stakeholders, BCG case teams, and technical teams to align priorities, decisions, trade\-offs, and next steps.
Translating operational challenges into digital solution requirements, ensuring use cases are linked to tangible business value.
Identifying and sizing value pools across areas such as margin optimization, planning and scheduling, maintenance, reliability, emissions, operational excellence, and performance management.
Synthesizing complex analyses, interviews, workshops, and technical inputs into clear storylines, decision materials, and implementation roadmaps.
Coaching junior team members and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to deliver high\-quality work in fast\-paced client environments.
What You'll Bring
7–9 years of relevant experience in consulting, oil \& gas, energy, refining, chemicals, industrial goods, operations, digital transformation, or performance improvement required; candidates with top\-tier strategy consulting experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading client\-facing workstreams, managing senior stakeholders, developing executive\-ready materials, and translating complex business problems into actionable recommendations.
Strong energy sector experience, ideally across areas such as refining economics, planning and scheduling, margin optimization, maintenance, reliability, emissions, operational excellence, or asset performance.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in engineering, business, economics, energy, operations, or related field preferred.
Strong business acumen, analytical rigor, communication skills, and leadership maturity, with the ability to connect industry expertise, digital solutions, and measurable business impact.
