The **Data Analytics Product Owner** is responsible for defining, delivering, and driving adoption of analytics and insights solutions for internal business teams at First Advantage. While collaborating with broader analytics initiatives, this role focuses on internal stakeholders and their data\-driven needs. You’ll translate business requirements into scalable analytics products (dashboards, reports, curated data sets) and guide these through development using Agile processes. A key part of this role is ensuring our data products do more than just display numbers – they help tell the story behind the data and inform better decisions. You will help transform how data is consumed throughout First Advantage, moving teams from manual Excel reports to modern, self\-service analytics. Throughout this process, you’ll partner closely with data engineering and analytics engineering teams to deliver solutions effectively, securely, and in line with governance standards.
- **Partner with Stakeholders:** Engage with internal business stakeholders to gather and clarify their analytics requirements. Prioritize requests based on business impact, focusing on solutions that address key decisions and critical business questions.
- **Own the Product Backlog:** Define and manage the internal analytics product backlog and roadmap. Use Agile product management practices (e.g., Scrum) to prioritize high\-impact features and drive iterative delivery. Write clear epics and user stories to guide data and analytics development teams.
- **Design \& Deliver High\-Impact Solutions:** Oversee the design and delivery of intuitive analytics products — from dashboards to curated data sets — that enable self\-service and provide actionable insights. Work closely with Data Analytics Engineering and Data Engineering teams during sprints to build these solutions, ensuring they are user\-friendly and effectively tell a story with the data.
- **Drive Adoption \& Value:** Promote and facilitate the use of analytics products through training, demos, and change management. Champion the shift away from ad\-hoc Excel reporting by highlighting the value of governed, interactive dashboards. Track adoption and usage metrics, using stakeholder feedback and data to continuously improve product impact.
- **Ensure Governance \& Compliance:** Partner with privacy, security, and data governance teams to implement appropriate access controls and maintain confidentiality and compliance in all internal analytics solutions.
- *What You Need to Be Successful:**
- **Education \& Experience:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent,
- **5 years** of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data product roles delivering solutions for business stakeholders.
- *What You May Need to be Successful:**

Proven success working cross\-functionally with business stakeholders and technical teams, ideally in an **Agile/Scrum** environment. Strong skills in backlog management, user story writing, and iterative product delivery.
- **Analytical \& Storytelling Mindset:** Strong ability to interpret data in a business context, identify key insights, and frame them as compelling narratives. You focus on the “why” and “so what” behind the numbers, ensuring analytics outputs drive well\-informed decisions.
- **Business Insight:** Solid understanding of business metrics and KPIs and how they map to broader organizational goals. You empathize with internal users, grasp their challenges, and ensure analytics products meet real operational and strategic needs.
- **Ownership \& Drive:** A proactive attitude and a strong sense of ownership. You excel at prioritizing work for maximum impact — balancing quick wins with longer\-term improvements — and can drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- **Communication \& Collaboration:** Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can translate technical details into clear, non\-technical language and inspire confidence by reliably delivering value and guiding users on their analytics journey.
