Job Title: Production Manager – Fabrication

• *Job Summary**

• *We are seeking an experienced and results\-driven Production Manager – Fabrication to oversee our shop\-floor fabrication operations. In this role, you will lead the end\-to\-end production process—from interpreting engineering drawings and managing material resources to ensuring on\-time delivery of high\-quality fabricated components. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical knowledge of cutting, welding, fitting, and assembly processes, paired with strong leadership skills to drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.**

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Production Planning \& Shop Operations**

• Manage daily shop\-floor fabrication activities, including cutting, bending, fitting, welding (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, etc.), and final assembly.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to review shop drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and production schedules.
• Allocate workforce and machinery effectively to optimize throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and meet strict project deadlines.
• Monitor daily output metrics and adjust operational plans as necessary to align with client demands.

• *2\. Quality Assurance \& Compliance**

• Ensure all fabricated items strictly comply with engineering specifications, industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO), and client requirements.
• Supervise regular quality checks, non\-destructive testing (NDT) coordination, dimensional inspections, and weld quality verifications.
• Maintain accurate production, traceability, and inspection logs.

• *3\. Team Leadership \& Development**

• Lead, mentor, and supervise shop floor supervisors, welders, fabricators, fitters, and support staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and coordinate technical training programs.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, high morale, and cross\-functional communication.

• *4\. Safety, Housekeeping \& Maintenance**

• Enforce strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines, including proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) utilization.
• Conduct regular safety briefings (toolbox talks), risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard\-free shop floor adhering to **5S / Lean** principles.
• Oversee preventative maintenance schedules for all fabrication machinery and tools to minimize downtime.

• *5\. Inventory \& Resource Management**

• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials (steel plates, profiles, pipes) and welding consumables to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with the procurement and warehouse teams to ensure prompt material staging.
• Track departmental budgets and identify cost\-saving opportunities through process optimization.

• *Qualifications \& Requirements**

• **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or a related field.
• **Experience:**
• Minimum **\[5–8\+] years** of progressive experience in a manufacturing or heavy fabrication environment.
• At least **\[3–5] years** in a supervisory or management role overseeing shop\-floor personnel.
• **Technical Skills:**
• Proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
• Hands\-on familiarity with various welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Submerged Arc) and cutting technologies.
• Working knowledge of international standards and codes (e.g., AWS D1\.1, ASME Section IX, ISO).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP software and production scheduling tools.

Pay: Up to ₹720,000\.00 per year

Work Location: In person
