• *About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic **Production Manager** to lead manufacturing operations and ensure efficient production processes within our engineering facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and optimizing end\-to\-end production activities while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The successful candidate should possess strong leadership skills, hands\-on experience in engineering manufacturing, and expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and production planning. This role requires close collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to deliver products on time while driving operational excellence.

• *Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning \& Operations**

• Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and production resources.
• Monitor production schedules and resolve bottlenecks to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams for timely production execution.
• Ensure production output meets customer delivery commitments.

• *Manufacturing Leadership**

• Lead, mentor, and motivate production supervisors and shop\-floor teams.
• Build a high\-performance work culture focused on productivity, quality, and accountability.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, team meetings, and employee development programs.
• Drive workforce engagement and improve operational discipline across production.

• *Continuous Improvement**

• Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and other operational excellence initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and best manufacturing practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all production activities.

• *Quality Management**

• Ensure all products comply with engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality team to improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and reduce rejection and rework.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA implementation for quality issues.
• Support Zero Defect Manufacturing initiatives through process control and continuous monitoring.

• *Resource \& Equipment Management**

• Ensure efficient utilization of production equipment, machinery, tools, and manpower.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities with the Maintenance team.
• Monitor machine availability and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of raw materials and consumables to prevent production delays.

• *Safety, Compliance \& EHS**

• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health \& Safety (EHS) policies and statutory regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a strong safety culture across manufacturing operations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and engineering compliance standards.

• *Cost Control \& Productivity**

• Manage production budgets and manufacturing costs effectively.
• Monitor labour productivity, material consumption, machine utilization, rejection, and rework costs.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Improve production efficiency through effective planning and operational improvements.

• *Problem Solving \& Decision Making**

• Lead troubleshooting of production, process, and equipment\-related issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement long\-term corrective actions.
• Take proactive decisions to ensure production targets are achieved despite operational challenges.

• *Cross\-Functional Collaboration**

• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales teams.
• Support new product development, production trials, and process validation activities.
• Ensure smooth communication between departments for effective manufacturing execution.

• *Reporting \& MIS**

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports.
• Monitor key manufacturing KPIs and present reports to senior management.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production, downtime, quality, safety, and productivity.

• *Required Qualifications**

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering discipline.
• **8–10 years** of experience in Production or Manufacturing Operations.
• Minimum **2–3 years** of experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Leadership role.
• Experience in Engineering Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, Industrial Equipment, Automotive, Fabrication, CNC Manufacturing, or Capital Equipment industries is preferred.
