Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities as per the approved production schedule.
• Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
• Allocate manpower, machines, tools, and materials effectively to meet production requirements.
• Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Ensure products meet specified quality standards and coordinate with the Quality Department to resolve defects and customer complaints.
• Monitor production rejection, rework, scrap, and material wastage, and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.
• Ensure availability of raw materials, components, and consumables by coordinating with Stores and Planning.
• Monitor employee attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.
• Train and guide production operators on work methods, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules, PPE requirements, housekeeping, and 5S practices.
• Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, rejection records, downtime records, and other required documentation.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvement measures to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch departments for smooth production operations.
• Report production performance, abnormalities, resource constraints, and delivery risks to the Production Manager.
• Support new product trials, process improvements, and implementation of approved engineering changes.
• Ensure proper handling, identification, storage, and traceability of raw materials, work\-in\-progress, and finished products.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team.
