Job Description
- *Organisation:** EnAble India
- *Reports to:** Account Manager
- *Location:** Bengaluru, with regular travel across India
- *About the role**
EnAble India works on disability inclusion and livelihoods, and our programs run across many states with a range of partner organisations. The Program Manager is the Account Manager’s right hand. You will support the Account Manager across every function of a program, with the clear intent of growing into the Account Manager role over time. You will also be the person the program team turns to for day\-to\-day guidance and support.
- *What you will do**
- Support the Account Manager in running the program end to end, including planning, delivery tracking, and reporting against milestones.
- Help maintain funder relationships by preparing updates, responding to queries, and keeping commitments visible and on track.
- Assist with financial integrity and compliance, including budget tracking, documentation, and readiness for audits and funder reviews.
- Manage our partner organisations day to day. This means setting expectations, following up on delivery, resolving issues early, and keeping the relationship healthy.
- Build trust with the program team and act as their first point of contact on people matters, working closely with HR. You will listen, mediate, and flag concerns before they grow.
- Take on cross\-functional responsibilities as they arise, across operations, communications, partnerships, or other areas of the organisation.
- Travel to program locations, partner sites, and stakeholder meetings as operations require.
- Step in for the Account Manager when needed, with increasing ownership over time.
- *What we are looking for**
- A people person. Team members and partners should find you approachable, fair, and easy to speak to honestly.
- Proven ability to manage partner organisations and other external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills. Familiarity with project management tools is a plus.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You can make sensible decisions when the path is not fully defined and adjust as things change.
- Good judgement with numbers and compliance, and the discipline to keep records clean.
- Clear written and spoken communication.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Interest in growing into a program leadership role.
- *Experience and qualifications**
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in program management, operations, or partnerships.
- A graduate degree, with an MBA or MSW preferred.
- Prior work in the social sector, livelihoods, or disability inclusion is an advantage.
- *How this role grows**
This role is designed as a step toward Account Manager. Over time, you will take on a wider share of funder engagement, financial oversight, and team leadership, moving toward full ownership of a program, including financial approval authority.
