The Project Engineer – HVAC is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring HVAC projects from initiation to completion. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality, safety, and budget standards.
Project Planning \& Execution
Manage HVAC installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and work execution strategies.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, and contractors.
Technical Management
Review HVAC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct site surveys and technical evaluations.
Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
Site Management
Supervise site engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors.
Ensure proper installation of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, and controls.
Monitor quality of workmanship and material utilization.
Maintain daily site progress reports and documentation.
Procurement \& Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with procurement teams for material planning and delivery.
Evaluate vendor quotations and technical compliance.
Monitor equipment delivery schedules and installation readiness.
Testing \& Commissioning
Plan and execute testing, balancing, and commissioning activities.
Ensure systems operate according to design parameters.
Prepare commissioning reports and project handover documentation.
Safety \& Compliance
Ensure adherence to safety standards and site HSE requirements.
Conduct safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Maintain compliance with statutory and client requirements.
Documentation \& Reporting
Prepare progress reports, MIS reports, and project updates.
Manage project documentation including drawings, RFIs, method statements, and approvals.
Coordinate project close\-out and final documentation.
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
HVAC certification or relevant technical training preferred.
3–4years of experience in HVAC project execution.
Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, hospital, pharmaceutical, or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of HVAC systems including Chillers, VRF/VRV, AHU, FCU, Ventilation, Ducting, and Piping.
Strong understanding of HVAC design and installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Knowledge of project management principles.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Problem\-solving and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and quality control procedures.
