Python Test Lead - Selenium, Unix and Scripting

Job Summary

The Test Lead will oversee the testing strategy and execution for projects, ensuring alignment with client and internal quality standards. This role is pivotal in managing the testing process, enhancing automation capabilities, and mentoring team members to foster a high\-performing testing environment. The Test Lead will actively contribute to discussions, drive the improvement of testing practices, and ensure timely delivery of quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Participate In Functional And Technical Discussions With Clients And Teams To Understand Design Specifications, Identify Performance Concerns, And Prepare Automated Test Scripts Using Python And Selenium, While Maintaining An Up\-To\-Date Test Case Suite.

2\. Develop And Continuously Improve Automated Test Suites As New System Features Are Introduced, Create Work Plans, And Monitor Project Schedules To Ensure On\-Time Delivery In Accordance With Defined Quality Standards.

3\. Create A Reusable And Scalable Test Automation Framework Using Python And Unix Shell Scripting, Develop Comprehensive Test Strategies And Plans, Maintain Test Data, And Submit Status Reports To Mitigate Risks And Address Escalations Effectively.

4\. Guide And Mentor Qa Engineers In Utilizing The Testing Framework, Enhancing Their Technical Skills In Python And Automation Practices, And Improving Overall Productivity Within The Team.

Skill Requirements

1\. Proficiency In Python And Experience With Test Automation Tools Such As Selenium.

2\. Solid Knowledge Of Unix Shell Scripting For Test Environment Setup And Maintenance.

3\. Familiarity With Creating And Managing Test Strategies And Plans.

4\. Strong Understanding Of Software Testing Methodologies And Best Practices.

5\. Excellent Communication Skills To Facilitate Discussions With Stakeholders.

Other Requirements

1\. Optional But Valuable Certifications In Software Testing (E.G., Istqb Certified Tester, Certified Software Test Engineer).
