QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a detail\-oriented and motivated **Automation Tester** with 1–3 years of experience in software testing and test automation. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of software testing methodologies, hands\-on experience with Playwright, and the ability to collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members in an Agile environment.

2\. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and end\-to\-end testing of web applications.
• Write and execute test cases based on functional requirements and user stories.
• Use Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript for browser automation.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects using defect\-tracking tools.
• Validate UI elements, forms, navigation, API responses, and application workflows.
• Use Playwright features such as locators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, and test runners.
• Analyse test execution reports and investigate automation failures.
• Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines with guidance from senior team members.
• Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to resolve defects and improve test coverage.
• Maintain test documentation, test data, and automation scripts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to improving automation frameworks, coding standards, and testing processes.

3\. Required Skills and Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software testing, including hands\-on automation testing experience.
• Practical experience with Playwright automation testing.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, DOM, and web application architecture.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant software testing certifications or practical automation project experience will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹225,000\.00 \- ₹420,000\.00 per year
