QA engineer

We are hiring a QA engineer with 2\+ years of experience to own the quality of our product from test planning through release and production support. You will work closely with developers, the BA and the support team, and help grow our automation coverage.

• *What you will do**

Read requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases and test data.

Test new features and releases: functional, integration, system, smoke, sanity and regression.

Write, run and maintain automation scripts for core flows, using Playwright, Selenium or a similar tool.

Test APIs with Postman and validate data with SQL queries.

Run regression before every release and share a clear test report.

Log defects with steps, expected and actual results and evidence, then retest the fixes.

Reproduce and validate customer\-reported issues from production support, and work with developers and support to close them quickly.

Maintain test cases and testing documentation.

Take part in sprint planning, daily stand\-ups and release discussions.

• *What we are looking for**

2\+ years of manual and automation testing in a product\-based company.

Hands\-on experience with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress, and scripting skills in Java or JavaScript.

Practical Postman experience, ideally with some API automation.

Good SQL skills for validating data and calculated values.

Experience handling production support tickets and verifying fixes.

Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile and Scrum.

Experience with a bug\-tracking tool such as Jira or Azure DevOps, and a test case management tool.

Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, including the ability to find edge cases and root causes, not only follow the steps.

Clear written and spoken communication, with the ability to write a defect a developer can reproduce.

Ownership: able to take a module or release and drive it to completion with little supervision.

• *Good to have**

Experience testing HRMS, EdTech or similar business applications with rule\-based and calculation\-heavy flows.

Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines (for example GitHub Actions or Jenkins).

Basic knowledge of performance and security testing.

Experience mentoring juniors or reviewing others’ test cases.

• *Qualification**

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: ₹25,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
