QA Engineer (Manual Testing – Mobile & Web)

• *About the Role**

We are looking for a detail\-oriented **QA Engineer (Manual Testing)** with around **1 year of experience** in testing mobile and web applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong manual testing skills, with **mobile application testing being the highest priority**, along with exposure to API testing and basic database validation.

If you have worked on **FinTech applications**, it will be considered a significant advantage.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• Analyze Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Product Requirement Documents (PRD), and functional specifications to prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Perform **Smoke, Sanity, Functional, Regression, and Retesting** activities.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects using Jira or similar bug\-tracking tools.
• Write detailed bug reports including reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, priority, screenshots, logs, and videos.
• Perform comprehensive edge\-case testing, including negative scenarios, boundary value analysis, empty inputs, and special character validations.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.

• *Mobile Application Testing (Highest Priority)**

The selected candidate should have strong hands\-on experience in

• Android and iOS application testing
• Testing on both **real devices and emulators**
• Installation, update, and uninstall scenarios
• Permission handling
• Screen orientation testing
• Network interruption testing
• Offline and poor network behaviour validation
• Incoming call/SMS interruption testing
• Device compatibility testing
• OS version compatibility testing
• Performance observations across different devices

• *Web Application Testing**

• Cross\-browser compatibility testing
• Responsive UI validation
• Form validation
• Functional workflow testing
• Browser DevTools usage
• Console log inspection
• Network request and response validation

• *API Testing**

• Test REST APIs using **Postman**
• Validate status codes
• Verify request and response payloads
• Authentication token validation
• CRUD operation testing
• Execute Postman Collections

• *Database Testing**

Basic understanding of SQL, including

• Writing simple **SELECT** queries
• Data verification
• Backend validation against application data

• *Required Skills**

• Good understanding of the **Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)**
• Knowledge of SDLC
• Manual Testing

• Web Testing
• API Testing
• Postman
• SQL (Basic Queries)
