Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail\-oriented **QA Intern** to join our software development team. As a QA Intern, you will work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications. This internship provides hands\-on experience with manual testing, bug reporting, test case creation, and software quality assurance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test checklists.
- Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and API\-based applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Conduct functional, usability, UI, compatibility, and smoke testing.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve reported issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand\-ups, and QA review meetings.
- Maintain test documentation and testing reports.
- Ensure software meets quality standards before release.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Basic knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Familiarity with software testing concepts and methodologies.
- Understanding of manual testing techniques.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman.
- Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira.
- Basic knowledge of browser developer tools.
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright is a plus.
Educational Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, MCA, or a related field.
- Final\-year students are encouraged to apply.
