We are seeking a detail\-oriented \*\*QA Tester \& Application Support Engineer\*\* to ensure the quality, reliability, and smooth operation of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manual and automated testing, identifying and reporting defects, supporting end users, performing root cause analysis, managing issue resolution, and collaborating with cross\-functional teams to deliver high\-quality software solutions.

This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

\#\# Key Responsibilities

\#\#\# Quality Assurance

\* Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and system documentation.

\* Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

\* Execute manual and automated testing across web, mobile, and backend applications.

\* Validate new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and integrations.

\* Perform regression, smoke, sanity, integration, functional, and user acceptance testing.

\* Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.

\* Verify fixes and ensure defects are resolved before release.

\* Conduct post\-release and post\-implementation testing to ensure production stability.

\* Ensure software meets quality standards and business requirements.

\* Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support to internal and external users.

\* Investigate production issues and coordinate timely resolution.

\* Handle user queries, incidents, and service requests.

\* Monitor application health and identify recurring issues.

\* Support deployment validation and production readiness activities.

\* Coordinate with development, DevOps, and business teams during incident resolution.

\#\#\# Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

\* Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues and recurring defects.

\* Investigate system behavior using logs, databases, APIs, and application monitoring tools.

\* Document findings and recommend preventive and corrective actions.

\* Participate in post\-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

\#\#\# Incident \& Defect Management

\* Log, prioritize, assign, and track defects using bug tracking tools.

\* Maintain complete visibility of issue status from identification through closure.

\* Drive issue ownership and accountability until successful resolution.

\* Follow SLA and severity\-based prioritization.

\* Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely bug fixes.

\* Validate fixes before closing incidents.

\#\#\# User Training \& Knowledge Management

\* Conduct user training sessions for new features and application updates.

\* Create user guides, FAQs, troubleshooting documents, and knowledge base articles.

\* Assist users during implementation and rollout activities.

\* Provide guidance on application functionality and best practices.

\#\#\# Collaboration

\* Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and DevOps teams.

\* Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and retrospectives.

\* Support release validation and deployment activities.

\* Contribute to process improvements and QA best practices.

\#\# Required Skills

\* Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

\* Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

\* Manual Testing expertise

\* Knowledge of Automation Testing (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright is an advantage)

\* API Testing (Postman/Swagger)

\* Database testing using SQL

\* Bug tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, etc.)

\* Test case management tools

\* Strong Root Cause Analysis and troubleshooting skills

\* Incident management and issue resolution

\* User support and communication skills

\* Excellent documentation skills

\* Analytical thinking and attention to detail

\* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast\-paced environment

\* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
