QC/QA Engineer

A **Quality Control / Quality Assurance (QC/QA) Engineer – Civil** is responsible for monitoring construction activities, ensuring materials and workmanship meet project specifications, codes, and quality standards. The engineer performs inspections, testing, documentation, and coordination with site teams to maintain project quality.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Quality Control**

• Inspect civil works such as **concrete, steel reinforcement, formwork, masonry, plastering, and finishing works**.
• Ensure work is executed according to **drawings, specifications, and method statements**.
• Monitor **site activities to ensure quality standards are maintained**.

• *2\. Material Inspection**

• Check incoming materials like **cement, aggregates, steel, bricks, sand, and concrete**.
• Verify **Material Test Certificates (MTC)** and ensure materials comply with project specifications.
• Coordinate with laboratories for **material testing**.

• *3\. Testing \& Quality Checks**

* Conduct and monitor tests such as

• **Slump test**
• **Cube test for concrete strength**
• **Soil compaction tests**
• **Rebar inspection**
• Maintain proper records of all test results.

• *4\. Documentation**

* Prepare and maintain quality documents such as

• **Inspection Requests (IR)**
• **Method Statements**
• **Checklists**
• **Non\-Conformance Reports (NCR)**
• **Quality reports**
• Ensure documentation complies with **ISO or project QA/QC procedures**.

• *5\. Site Inspection**

• Perform **daily inspections** of construction activities.
• Identify **defects or deviations** and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the **site engineer, consultant, and project manager**.

• *6\. Compliance**

• Ensure compliance with **project specifications, quality standards, and local construction codes**.
• Participate in **consultant/client inspections**.

• *7\. Reporting**

• Prepare **daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports**.
• Track **quality issues and corrective actions**.

• *Required Qualifications**

• **Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering**
• 2–5 years experience in **construction or infrastructure projects**
• Knowledge of **construction quality standards and testing procedures**

• *Key Skills**

• Knowledge of **civil construction methods**
• Familiarity with **IS codes / ASTM standards**
• Quality inspection and testing
• Documentation \& reporting
• Communication and coordination
• Problem\-solving skills

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000\.00 \- ₹30,000\.00 per month
