- *Experience:** 2–5 years in software QA or test automation **Reports to:** Engineering Manager
- *What you will do**

- Test message routing and transformation through Apache Camel routes and IBM MQ queues, including ACK/NAK handling and failure paths.
- Verify data and state in MySQL 8\.0 with SQL, and read application logs to isolate the root cause of failures.
- Test integrations with payment rails such as Currencycloud using sandbox environments.
- Run regression and release testing for on\-prem deployments on Windows Server, and give a clear go/no\-go signal.
- Log defects in Jira with precise reproduction steps and evidence; keep test documentation current in Confluence.
- *What you need**
- 2–5 years in QA or test automation for web applications and APIs.
- Hands\-on automation in Python with pytest; working experience with Playwright (or Selenium/Cypress and willingness to move to Playwright).
- Solid API testing: REST, JSON/XML payloads, status codes, auth, and tools such as Postman or Karate.
- Comfort with SQL for test data setup and verification (MySQL preferred).
- Understanding of XML and schema validation (XSD).
- Git workflows: branching, pull requests and code review of test code.
- Experience in Agile teams using Jira and Confluence.
- Clear written communication: bug reports a developer can act on without a follow\-up call.

- Payments domain knowledge: SWIFT MT messages, ISO 20022, CBPR\+, or cross\-border payment flows.
- Experience testing message\-driven systems (IBM MQ, Apache Camel, or similar).
- Ability to read Java code to understand what a change touches.
- Performance or load testing experience.
- Running automated suites in a CI pipeline.
- ISTQB or equivalent certification.
- *What success looks like in the first 6 months**
- You own testing for at least one Symmetree or SMH module end to end.
- Your automated tests run in the shared Playwright/pytest suite and catch regressions before release.
- Developers trust your defect reports and loop you in early on design.
