\# Quality Control Engineer – Manufacturing \*\*Location:\*\* Khalapur, Maharashtra \*\*Department:\*\* Quality Control \*\*Reporting To:\*\* Head – Quality Control \*\*Experience:\*\* Minimum 3 years \*\*Qualification:\*\* BE/BTech – Mechanical Engineering \> \*\*Outstation candidates may be provided company\-shared accommodation near the Khalapur facility for the first three months.\*\* \#\# Role Overview Nandan GSE is looking for a disciplined and detail\-oriented \*\*Quality Control Engineer\*\* for its manufacturing facility in \*\*Khalapur\*\*. You will be responsible for in\-process and final quality inspection of our \*\*Aviation Ground Support Equipment, Defence Systems, and Material Handling Equipment\*\*. The role requires strong shop\-floor involvement, accurate documentation, and a prevention\-focused approach to quality. \#\# Key Responsibilities \- Inspect fabricated structures, machined parts, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and assemblies. \- Conduct stage\-wise inspections during fabrication, assembly, testing, and pre\-dispatch. \- Verify welding quality, dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with engineering drawings. \- Prepare and maintain: \- Inspection reports \- Material Test Certificates (MTCs) \- Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) \- Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) \- Ensure compliance with \*\*ISO 9001, AS9100D, customer, and defence quality requirements\*\*. \- Conduct \*\*Root Cause Analysis (RCA)\*\* and close \*\*Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)\*\*. \- Reduce rework, rejection, vendor defects, and customer complaints. \- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, and Vendor Development teams. \- Support internal, customer, vendor, and certification audits. \- Inspect incoming materials and drive corrective action for non\-conforming supplies. \- Hold or reject non\-conforming materials and products. \- Stop production in case of critical quality deviations. \- Escalate repeated quality issues with structured findings and solutions. \#\# Required Skills \- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications. \- Working knowledge of \*\*GD\&T\*\*. \- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments. \- Hands\-on experience in welding and fabrication inspection. \- Knowledge of \*\*ISO 9001 and AS9100D quality systems\*\*. \- Experience with QAP, ATP, RCA, CAPA, and NCR documentation. \- Experience in vendor quality management. \- Strong problem\-solving and documentation skills. \- Firm, professional, and balanced communication. \- High attention to detail and shop\-floor discipline. \#\# Preferred Experience \- Structural fabrication and heavy engineering. \- Hydraulic systems and components. \- Defence, aerospace, aviation, or heavy\-equipment manufacturing. \- Vendor audits and quality\-improvement projects. \#\# Work Schedule \- \*\*Work Mode:\*\* 100% on\-site \- \*\*Location:\*\* Khalapur manufacturing facility \- \*\*Timing:\*\* 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM \- \*\*Working Days:\*\* Six days per week \- \*\*Weekly Off:\*\* Sundays and the third Saturday of every month \> This is a hands\-on shop\-floor position.
