Quality Executive – Standards & Excellence

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced **Quality Executive** to oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for our flexible packaging product lines, specifically **BOPP self\-adhesive tapes** and **stretch films (LLDPE)**. The ideal candidate will manage inline quality checks, raw material testing, finished goods inspection, and customer complaint resolution to ensure strict adherence to technical parameters (micron tolerance, tack/adhesion, tensile strength, and elongation).

• *Key Responsibilities1\. Quality Control \& Testing**

• Perform incoming quality control (IQC) on raw materials, including BOPP jumbo rolls, LLDPE resin granules, paper cores, adhesives, and release coatings.
• Conduct lab and inline testing on finished BOPP tapes:
• **Micron Thickness** (film \+ adhesive coat weight).
• **Peel Adhesion** ($180^\\circ$ peel strength test) and **Shear Resistance** (holding power).
• **Rolling Ball Tack** and **Initial Tack** tests.
• **Core inner diameter** and **roll winding tightness/edge alignment**.
• Conduct lab and inline testing on Stretch Films:
• **Micron \& Gauge Uniformity**.
• **Ultimate Elongation \& Stretchability (%)**.
• **Puncture Resistance \& Tear Resistance** (Machine Direction / Transverse Direction).
• **Cling Test** (smooth layer vs. sticky layer evaluation).

• *2\. Process Monitoring \& Defect Prevention**

• Monitor coating, slitting, rewinding, and extrusion (cast/blown film line) parameters to prevent defect generation.
• Detect and eliminate common production defects such as telescope rolls, bubbles, adhesive bleed, gauge variation, and gel counts.
• Perform hourly line audits and maintain Non\-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective batches.

• *3\. Calibration \& Documentation**

• Maintain calibration logs for lab equipment (tensile testers, thickness gauges, micrometer screws, tack testers, and weighing balances).
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Quality Control Plans (QCP), and Certificate of Analysis (COA) documents for outgoing shipments.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality management standards.

• *4\. Customer Complaints \& Continuous Improvement**

• Analyze customer feedback/complaints regarding tape unwinding noise, adhesive transfer, film snapping, or stretch ratio failures.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using 5\-Why or Fishbone diagrams and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Work alongside production teams to reduce scrap rate and optimize raw material yield.

• *Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**

• Outgoing Defect Rate ($\<0\.5\\%$).
• On\-time CAPA implementation for non\-conformances.
• Zero customer rejections due to specification mismatch (micron/tack/stretch ratio).
• Scrap reduction targets met month\-over\-month.

• *Required Qualifications \& SkillsRequirementDetailsEducation: CIPET preferred but not mandatory** B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, B.Tech / Diploma in Polymer Science, Plastic Packaging, or Chemical Engineering.**Experience 1\-**2 years of hands\-on QA/QC experience in BOPP tape coating/slitting or LLDPE stretch film extrusion plants.**Technical Knowledge**Familiarity with ASTM/ISO testing standards for pressure\-sensitive tapes and stretch films (e.g., ASTM D3330 for peel adhesion, ASTM D882 for tensile properties).**Tool Knowledge**Hands\-on expertise using Micrometers, Tensile Strength Testers, Peel Adhesion Testers, and Static/Dynamic Tack Testers.**Soft Skills**Analytical thinking, strong communication, crisis management, and decision\-making under high\-volume production pressure.

Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹22,000\.00 per month
