SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result\-oriented Quality Manager to lead and strengthen our quality control systems for steel structure manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in fabrication, welding, inspection, painting, and overall quality management within the PEB or heavy steel structure industry.

Qualification

• B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Civil, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field **Experience in PEB, Structural Steel, Heavy Fabrication, Industrial Buildings, or EPC projects preferred**

Key Responsibilities

■ Lead the complete quality assurance and quality control activities of the manufacturing facility

■ Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation

■ Ensure compliance with customer specifications, approved drawings, project requirements, and industry standards

■ Monitor fit\-up, welding, dimensional inspection, shot blasting, painting, and dispatch quality

■ Conduct stage\-wise inspections throughout the manufacturing process

■ Review and approve quality reports, inspection records, and test certificates

■ Ensure proper traceability of raw materials and fabricated members

■ Coordinate with production, planning, and project teams to resolve quality\-related issues

■ Investigate non\-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions

■ Handle client inspections, third\-party inspections, and consultant visits

■ Monitor welding quality and ensure adherence to approved WPS and fabrication procedures

■ Train and guide quality engineers, inspectors, and production teams on quality requirements

■ Maintain quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of steel structure fabrication and welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings
• Experience in dimensional inspection and quality documentation
• Knowledge of painting inspection, DFT measurement, and surface preparation standards
• Familiarity with ISO systems and quality management practices
• Strong leadership, reporting, and team management skills
• Ability to handle client and third\-party inspections independently
