• *Overview**

The Software Engineering at Span Technology Services plays a key role in leading multiple engineering teams focused on delivering scalable, secure, and high\-performance SaaS solutions. The role combines hands\-on technical expertise in the MERN Stack with strong leadership and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This position is ideal for an experienced software engineer ready to take the next step in their career — balancing development, mentoring, and project delivery responsibilities while ensuring adherence to SDLC best practices and alignment with business objectives.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *Tasks Percentage**

Oversees the development and delivery of multiple SaaS projects, ensuring on\-time, quality releases aligned with business goals. 20%

Collaborates with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to define priorities, scope, and sprint goals for multiple teams. 15%

Provides technical leadership and hands\-on support in MERN Stack development, including architecture design and code reviews. 15%

Guides junior engineers through mentoring, technical training, and career development initiatives. 15%

Ensures adherence to SDLC, Agile practices, and coding standards across projects to maintain quality and consistency. 10%

Plans resource allocation across multiple projects and teams, optimizing capacity and timelines to ensure efficient project management. 10%

Identifies and mitigates project risks, ensuring proactive communication with stakeholders and cross\-functional partners. 10%

Promotes innovation through the adoption of modern tools, frameworks, and automation to enhance development efficiency. 5%

• *Qualifications**

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of total experience in software development, with at least 2–3 years of strong hands\-on coding experience in the MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).

• Proven ability to manage 2 or more projects simultaneously with cross\-functional team collaboration.

• Experience leading small to mid\-sized teams, providing both technical and performance guidance.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, and SaaS architecture principles.

• Excellent problem\-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.

• Experience working in a product\-based or SaaS environment is highly preferred.

• *Technical Stack \& Tools**

• Frontend: React.js, Next.js

• Backend: Node.js, Express.js

• Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis

• Tools \& Platforms: JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Visual Studio Code, Postman, Nginx, Power BI

• Cloud \& DevOps: AWS / Azure, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred exposure)

• Innovation Areas: SaaS optimization, AI integration, Business Intelligence, and Automation
