Job Description – Sales Executive

Position Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating room revenue, banquet business, restaurant business, and long\-term corporate relationships for all properties under TM Group of Hotels. The role involves proactive sales visits, lead generation, client relationship management, contract negotiations, and achieving monthly revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new corporate clients, travel agents, government departments, PSUs, educational institutions, hospitals, industries, and event organizers.
  • Generate new leads through field visits, networking, referrals, and digital channels.
  • Build a strong client database and maintain regular communication.

2\. Sales Calls \& Client Meetings

  • Conduct daily sales visits as per the approved route plan.
  • Meet existing clients to strengthen relationships and increase business.
  • Present hotel services, room inventory, banquet facilities, conference halls, restaurants, and special offers.
  • Organize hotel presentations and property inspections (site visits).

3\. Revenue Generation

Generate business for

  • Room bookings
  • Corporate stays
  • Long\-stay guests
  • Banquets
  • Conferences
  • Training programs
  • Weddings
  • Restaurant group bookings
  • Airport transit business
  • Government bookings
  • MICE business

4\. Account Management

  • Maintain assigned key accounts.
  • Negotiate corporate rates.
  • Renew annual corporate agreements.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments by coordinating with the Accounts department.

5\. Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor pricing and promotional activities.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities.
  • Provide regular market feedback to management.

6\. Reporting

Submit the following reports

  • Daily Sales Call Report
  • Weekly Sales Summary
  • Monthly Revenue Report
  • Lead Status Report
  • Corporate Visit Plan
  • Banquet Lead Report
  • Competitor Activity Report

7\. Coordination

Work closely with

  • Front Office
  • Reservations
  • Revenue Management
  • Housekeeping
  • Food \& Beverage
  • Banquet Operations
  • Accounts

to ensure smooth execution of guest requirements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Monthly room revenue achieved
  • Banquet revenue achieved
  • Restaurant group business generated
  • Number of new corporate accounts opened
  • Number of sales calls completed
  • Client meetings conducted
  • Property inspections arranged
  • Corporate agreements signed
  • Repeat business percentage
  • Payment collection efficiency
  • Customer satisfaction and feedback

Daily Activity Targets

  • Minimum **8–10 physical client meetings**
  • **25–30 follow\-up calls**
  • **5 new prospect visits**
  • **1 hotel property inspection** arranged (where applicable)
  • Update CRM before end of day
  • Submit Daily Sales Report by 6:00 PM

Monthly Targets

  • Achieve assigned revenue target.
  • Add **10–15 new corporate accounts**.
  • Conduct **200\+ client meetings**.
  • Generate qualified banquet and conference leads.
  • Ensure regular business from assigned accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate in any discipline (Hotel Management preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, travel industry, or corporate sales.
  • Freshers with excellent communication and sales aptitude may also apply.

Required Skills

  • Good knowledge of Guwahati corporate and travel market

  • Ability to work independently
  • MS Excel, Word, and email proficiency
  • Familiarity with hotel PMS/CRM is an advantage
  • Valid two\-wheeler driving licence preferred

Pay: ₹10,000\.00 \- ₹25,000\.00 per month
