SAP PP/QM Consultant – Production Planning & Quality Management

• *Role Summary**

Al Shirawi / Oasis Investment Company is undertaking a major digital transformation through RISE with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud Edition. The group's manufacturing operations span multiple verticals each with distinct production models ranging from discrete and repetitive manufacturing to Make\-to\-order (MTO) and make\-to\-stock (MTS).

We are looking for a senior, hands\-on SAP PP/QM Lead to design and implement production planning, shop floor execution, and quality management processes across S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing domain knowledge, drive process standardisation across the group's production facilities, and ensure tight integration with Materials Management, Plant Maintenance, Sales, and Finance.

• *Key Responsibilities.**

• *1\. S/4HANA PP Module Implementation**

• **Production Planning \& Execution:** Design, configure, and implement end\-to\-end production processes — Master Data (BOM, Routing, Work Centre, Production Version), MRP, Demand Management, Planned Orders, Production Orders, and Confirmations.
• **Manufacturing Scenarios:** Configure and support multiple manufacturing models including Discrete Manufacturing, Repetitive Manufacturing, Make\-to\-Order (MTO), Make\-to\-Stock (MTS) based on each business unit's production profile.
• **MRP \& Capacity Planning:** Implement MRP runs (MRP Live in S/4HANA), capacity evaluation, capacity levelling, and long\-term planning for production scheduling across multiple plants.
• **Shop Floor Integration:** Configure production order processing, goods movements (GI/GR), backflushing, co\-product and by\-product handling, and work\-in\-progress (WIP) calculation, Integration with MES and other external systems
• **S/4HANA Innovations:** Leverage S/4HANA\-specific capabilities — Predictive MRP, Production Planning \& Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) on embedded PP, and simplified BOM/Routing structures.

• *2\. S/4HANA QM Module Implementation**

• **Quality Planning:** Design and configure Inspection Plans, Inspection Lots (triggered by goods receipt, production, delivery), Master Inspection Characteristics (MIC), Sampling Procedures, and Inspection Catalogues.
• **Quality Execution:** Implement results recording, usage decisions, automatic stock postings based on quality outcomes, and digital signature integration where required.
• **Quality Notifications:** Configure QM Notifications for customer complaints, internal defects, and vendor quality issues — including root cause analysis workflows, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and escalation procedures.
• **Vendor Quality Management:** Set up quality info records, vendor evaluation with QM scoring, source inspection, and skip lot procedures for incoming material inspection.
• **Certificates \& Compliance:** Configure quality certificates (CoA/CoC) for outbound deliveries, batch determination with QM integration, and compliance documentation aligned to ISO 9001 and industry\-specific standards.

• *3\. User Adoption \& Change Enablement**

• **Business Process Adoption:** Champion the shift from legacy manufacturing and quality practices to S/4HANA\-enabled production operations, driving high user adoption across all production facilities.
• **Training \& Readiness:** Design end\-to\-end user enablement strategies, super\-user training programmes, and post\-go\-live hypercare support across manufacturing plants.
• **Change Impact Analysis:** Assess the business impact of moving from legacy production workflows to standard SAP PP/QM processes and formulate effective change mitigation plans.

• *4\. Strategic Leadership \& Delivery Governance**

• **Functional Leadership:** Lead the SAP PP/QM track across the group transformation programme, providing strategic direction, functional decision\-making, and alignment with corporate manufacturing and quality standards.
• **Team \& Vendor Governance:** Manage and direct hybrid onshore and offshore consultant teams, system integrator teams, and internal key users to ensure deliverable quality and project timelines.
• **Stakeholder Alignment:** Act as the primary PP/QM functional liaison between Plant Managers, Production Heads, Quality Managers, C\-suite executives, and IT leadership across the group's manufacturing entities.

• *5\. Integration \& Quality Oversight**

• **Cross\-Module Integration:** Ensure seamless integration between PP/QM and MM (procurement, inventory, batch management), SD (availability check, delivery), FI/CO (production cost analysis, WIP, variance), PM (maintenance\-triggered production stops), and PS (project\-linked production for ETO scenarios).
• **Master Data Governance:** Oversee production and quality master data standards — material masters (MRP views, QM views), BOMs, routings, work centres, inspection plans, and catalogues across all manufacturing plants.
• **Testing \& RICEFW Governance:** Oversee SIT, UAT, and sign\-off protocols while authoring and reviewing key functional specifications (RICEFW) for production and quality\-related custom developments.

• This is an opportunity to lead a high\-impact Manufacturing \& Quality workstream within a large, multi\-business group transformation. The successful candidate will standardise production and quality processes, strengthen shop floor governance, and help shape the future\-state operating model for SAP\-enabled manufacturing across the group.*

• *Required Qualifications \& Experience**

• **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is highly advantageous.
• **Overall Experience:** Minimum 8–10\+ years of core SAP PP/QM implementation and team lead experience, with at least 2 full\-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations involving Production Planning and Quality Management.
• **Manufacturing Expertise:** Deep experience across multiple manufacturing models — discrete, repetitive, MTO, MTS, and ETO — with a strong understanding of shop floor operations, capacity planning, and production cost analysis.
• **Quality Management:** Proven hands\-on experience configuring QM inspection processes, quality notifications, CAPA workflows, and vendor quality management in SAP.
• **Leadership \& Team Management:** Proven track record of leading SAP PP/QM workstreams and managing onshore/offshore delivery teams successfully.
• **Integration Knowledge:** Strong understanding of PP/QM integration with MM, SD, FI/CO, PM, and PS modules in an S/4HANA landscape.
• **GCC Context:** Familiarity with UAE/GCC manufacturing compliance requirements, ESMA standards, and quality certification norms.

• *Preferred / Good to Have Skills**

• **Legacy Migration:** Prior experience migrating from legacy ERP platforms (Oracle EBS, standalone MES/QMS tools) to SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Quality Management.
• **SAP Certifications:** SAP Certified Application Associate – S/4HANA Production Planning \& Manufacturing or Quality Management.
• **SAP DMC / MES:** Exposure to SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) or Manufacturing Execution Systems for shop floor integration and real\-time production monitoring.
• **Advanced Planning:** Experience with PP/DS (Production Planning \& Detailed Scheduling) or SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) for demand\-supply alignment.
• **Batch \& Serialisation:** Hands\-on experience with batch management, serialisation, and traceability requirements in regulated or industrial manufacturing.
• **Conglomerate Experience:** Prior exposure to conglomerate or diversified industrial group environments in the GCC region with multi\-plant, multi\-company code manufacturing operations.
