- *We are looking for a Semantic Data Engineer**
You’ll play a key role in developing and implementing semantic data processing solutions within our ecosystem, enabling seamless integration between data modeling, semantic technologies, and real\-world systems. This is a hands\-on engineering role focused on pragmatic data semantics—not traditional data science or AI/ML.
- *You’ll make a difference by:**
- Designing and implementing solutions to process and transform large semantic datasets into optimized formats suitable for downstream and embedded systems.
- Working with semantic web technologies including **RDF, OWL, JSON\-LD, and Turtle** to structure and manage data effectively.
- Developing scalable **data transformation pipelines**, potentially leveraging cloud\-based architectures.
- Bridging the gap between semantic data models and operational systems, solving complex **system integration challenges**.
- Delivering **production\-grade solutions** that go beyond proof\-of\-concept and are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
- Collaborating closely with domain experts and cross\-functional engineering teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
- Enabling future **AI and advanced analytics use cases** through well\-structured, high\-quality semantic data.
- Driving best practices in **semantic modeling, data quality, and performance optimization.**
- *You’ll win us over by:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- **5\+ years of programming experience**, preferably in **Python, C\#, or JavaScript**.
- Strong understanding of **semantic web technologies** such as RDF, OWL, and JSON\-LD.
- Hands\-on experience working with **ontologies** and semantic data models.
- Proficiency in **SPARQL** and semantic data querying techniques.
- Experience designing and implementing **data processing pipelines**.
- Familiarity with enterprise\-grade systems and environments (e.g., **C\#, cloud platforms**).
- Experience with **SHACL or RML** for data validation and transformation is highly desirable.
- Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to work independently in complex environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in **Building Automation or HVAC domains**.
