Lowe's Pro Services (LPS) Accounting team is to ensure accurate financial reporting on a regular basis. They continuously assess the reporting process to find any inefficiencies and make improvements. Additionally, they ensure that all financial reports adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations. The team also regularly reviews and updates its policies and procedures, staying informed about changes to accounting standards and regulations.
The primary purpose of this role is to capture financial activities and resolve issues in accounting records to enable accurate reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. This includes responsibility for conducting effective research, managing, tracking, reporting, and reviewing work on financial activities to ensure accounting records are correct. In addition, this role executes internal controls over financial and regulatory reporting, by working independently to apply experienced accounting judgment and knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements in daily activity.

- Execute accounting activities in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in compliance with GAAP requirements.
- Perform timely month end close activities as per close timelines, perform fixed asset activities including sub\-ledger and accounting.
- Perform variance analysis and perform balance sheet reconciliations as per close timelines and highlight any issues on time to support accurate financial reporting.
- Work with relevant stakeholders and operations team for smooth execution of activities and collaboration
- Manages small projects/initiatives and/or participates in broader projects, working with and directing teams within a finance function to deliver the best solutions to financial issues.
- Maintains appropriate supporting documents, provisions, and other details for accounting transactions and entries.
- Communicates effectively within the team, across other functions, and with external parties to ensure alignment.
- Partners with team and the business to identify transaction issues and procedure improvement opportunities to more\-effectively support the needs of the Finance organization.
- A total of 5\-8 years of professional experience, with 2\-3 years specifically in accounting including journals, balance sheet reconciliations.

**Required Minimum Qualifications**
Primary Skills (must have)
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and financial controls to apply in the execution of activities
- Prior experience in accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, GL and P\&L Concepts experience
- Advanced skills in MS office programs (Excel, Word, Access)
- ERP exposure
- Demonstrated experience working cross\-functionally.
