• *Job Summary**

The Senior Accountant – Finance \& Accounts will be responsible for managing accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, banking, treasury, audits, and cash management. The role requires ensuring accurate financial records, timely statutory compliance, efficient receivable and payable management, and adherence to Company policies. Experience in the Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or Multimodal Transport industry will be preferred.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Financial Accounting \& Reporting**

• Maintain books of accounts, General Ledger, Trial Balance, and accounting records.
• Record accounting transactions, journal entries, vouchers, and financial documents.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, variance analysis, and management reports.
• Complete month\-end and year\-end closing, including provisions, accruals, depreciation, and adjustments.

• *2\. Accounts Receivable \& Payable**

• Manage customer invoicing, collections, ageing reports, and receivable reconciliations.
• Manage vendor invoices, bill booking, payment processing, debit/credit notes, and vendor reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in coordination with internal departments, customers, and vendors.

• *3\. Banking, Treasury \& Cash Management**

• Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements and maintain the Cash Book.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and treasury activities.
• Process inward/outward remittances and coordinate with banks for operational matters.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of cash receipts and payments.

• *4\. Taxation \& Statutory Compliance**

• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, and other applicable statutory regulations.
• Prepare and file statutory returns, perform tax reconciliations, and coordinate with consultants and auditors for compliance and assessments.

• *5\. Audit \& Internal Controls**

• Compliance with Statutory, Internal, Tax, GST, and Transfer Pricing audits.
• Prepare audit schedules, maintain statutory documentation, and ensure adherence to internal controls, Company SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

• *6\. Logistics Accounting \& Business Support**

• Account for freight forwarding, customs clearance, transportation, warehousing, and multimodal transport transactions.
• Verify shipment costing, customer billing, revenue recognition, and monitor shipment\-wise profitability.
• Liaise effectively with Department Heads (HODs), Operations, Sales, Customer Service, banks, auditors, vendors, customers, and external consultants to ensure smooth financial operations.

• *7\. Process Improvement**

• Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes, financial controls, reporting, and ERP utilization.
• Support automation initiatives and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across finance operations.
• Perform other Finance \& Accounts responsibilities assigned by Management.

• *Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**

• Timely month\-end and year\-end financial closing.
• Accurate financial reporting and MIS.
• Timely GST, TDS, Transfer Pricing, and statutory compliance.
• Effective management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Accurate customer, vendor, bank, and General Ledger reconciliations.
• Efficient cash flow and treasury management.
• Zero major audit observations and strong internal control compliance.

• *Qualifications**

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.
• M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter – Preferred.

• *Experience**

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Finance \& Accounts.
• Experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Multimodal Transport industry will be preferred.
