Senior Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day\-to\-day accounting operations, financial reporting, GST and TDS compliance, banking transactions, and monthly closing activities. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, good analytical skills, and experience in managing financial records accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day\-to\-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Handle GST returns, TDS calculations, payments, and statutory filings.
• Perform bank reconciliations and vendor/customer account reconciliations.
• Manage invoicing, payment follow\-ups, and outstanding receivables.
• Assist in monthly closing, year\-end closing, and audit activities.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial transactions.
• Verify vendor invoices, purchase bills, and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, vendors, and internal departments.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Maintain proper documentation of financial records and ensure timely reporting to management.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com or CA Inter qualification is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Tally ERP / Tally Prime, and MS Excel.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation, and audit procedures.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem\-solving skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in construction, interior fit\-out, project\-based businesses, or contracting companies.
• Knowledge of project\-wise accounting, expense tracking, vendor payments, and cost control.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
