Position: Senior Accountant

Monthly Salary: ₹42,000–₹45,000

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage end\-to\-end accounting operations, statutory compliances, tax matters, financial reporting, reconciliations and coordination with tax consultants and regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of accounting principles and the ability to independently manage compliance deadlines and tax cases.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day\-to\-day accounting, including journal entries, ledgers, vouchers, general ledger scrutiny, accruals, provisions and month\-end/year\-end closing.

Prepare and review trial balances, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, financial schedules and management reports.

Handle GST compliance, including GSTR filings, input tax credit reconciliation, GST notices, assessments, departmental queries and case documentation.

Handle income\-tax matters, including notices, assessments, case follow\-ups, supporting documentation and coordination with chartered accountants and tax advisors.

Manage TDS calculations, deductions, deposits, returns, reconciliations and applicable statutory deadlines.

Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, income\-tax, TDS and other relevant financial/statutory requirements.

Perform bank reconciliations, vendor/customer ledger reconciliations, receivables/payables monitoring and outstanding follow\-ups.

Support audits, tax filings, financial statement finalization and maintenance of complete, accurate accounting records.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, consultants and authorities; maintain organized case trackers and compliance records.

Qualifications \& Experience

Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in Accounting, Commerce or Finance (such as M.Com or MBA Finance).

B.Com graduates or graduates with an LL.B. qualification may also be considered, subject to relevant accounting and taxation expertise.

Minimum 5 years and maximum 6 years of relevant hands\-on accounting and compliance experience.

Required Skills

Strong command of journal accounting, ledger management, finalization of accounts, balance sheet and P\&L preparation.

Demonstrated experience handling GST and income\-tax cases, notices, reconciliations and statutory filings.

Working knowledge of TDS, GST returns, tax calculations and compliance calendars.

Proficiency in Tally or similar accounting software, MS Excel and financial reporting.

Accuracy, ownership, confidentiality, analytical ability and strong follow\-up skills.

Candidate Preference

Candidates available to join immediately or at short notice will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000\.00 \- ₹42,000\.00 per month
